The MURICAN, no matter which sewer he was dragged from. Because that is how ESB works. LMFAO.

Please let us know when the morons start chanting that feeble USA,USA,USA. It is hilariously comical.

Hearns probably had more power in his single best punch (his fully leveraged right) but Mugabi probably had more power in every other punching category.

I'd say Hearns with a single punch (that straight right hand). He stopped a hellava alot better opponents then Mugabi did. I also think Hearns would've beaten Mugabi, better all around skills. But Lord if Mugabi ever land cleanly.....

Hearns, proven against higher calibre opponents over a long period of time.

The Hearns right hand might have been the single hardest shot between the ****nals of these two.

That said, Mugabi would have been a bad matchup for Hearns.

If he got inside, Hearns would have been in big trouble.

I don't think Emanuel Steward wanted anything to do with Mugabi before Hagler/Hearns.

Then, after Hearns/Hagler, Duff wanted to protect a fight with Hagler so he wouldn't go near Hearns.

I think Duff, in retrospect, should have gone after Hearns at 154 lbs. AFTER Hagler/Hearns.

But he probably couldn't wait for Hearns to go back to 154 lbs. and the Hagler fight was in the offing for Mugabi.

I think Mugabi had a better chance of beating Hearns because there was always a chance he could hurt Hearns, but Hagler was just too resilent for Mugabi to have a shot.

Hearns carried power all the way to Cruiserweight. And Hearns' knockout over Duran trumps anything Mugabi EVER did. Nobody else ever did that to Duran. I vote Hearns

    Not true.

Hearns had 34 fights above Welter and scored stoppage wins in only 18 of them, that is slightly over 50%. Whereas at 147 he had 32 fights with only 2 going the distance, and of course the defeat to Leonard. That is much higher than 50%.

Also you have to take into account the fighters Tommy couldn't put away, and look at who did, as in the cases of De Witt, and Barkley to mention but 2. Or how about Olajide who went the distance with Tommy, but in his next fight gets stopped by Moncrief, who in fairness couldn't knock out bent gear compared to real punchers.
