Hearns-McCallum is in the beginning of the video.

Toney-McClellan is at the end of the video.

James Toney had the best shoulder roll defense I've ever seen when he was in his prime.

He learned from watching the old time fighters with his mentor Bill Miller(RIP).

Really? I thought Toney made McClellan look like a bit of an amateur in there. I sometimes forget just how good of a fighter Toney was. I never knew how a Toney-McClellan fight would go but based on that sparring it'd be a Toney shutout with a possible late round stoppage.

Exactly. G-man was scoring early with the right until Toney started getting his range, and would wait for G-man to throw the right hand, slip it and spring back in with combos. G-man tried to establish the jab but Toney was countering beautifully with the right hand. G-man tried back pedaling but Toney was stalking him.

Amazing stuff. And thanks to the OP for this vid.

Hearns didn't look to be going on full there. he didn't throw too many punches, and was not throwing the right hand and hook to the body that much at all. He seemed to be toying with him. My opinion.

I agree. It's criminal how good Toney was.

Na not at all bro. The Bodysnatcher landed more on Tommy, but Tommy was the one stalking him later. Tommy was real calm, cool in there McCallum looked more edgy. Tommy was holding back on that right hand big time too. Great to see 2 legends work on their game this is quality stuff.

The Hearns-McCallum sparring session look like it was light sparring while Toney and McClellan were really going at it.

Toney would've torn McClellan up. An aggressive fighter with leaky defense who left too many openings? A wet dream for Toney and his style/strengths.

Something also tells me Toney would be "up" for a match with G-Man too (he'd eat 2 burgers a day instead of 4).
