Super middle. 12 rounds. Fight takes place in Berlin for neutral.
3 kd rule applies. Ref is Richard Steele.
    Hearns who beat Olajide
    V Eubank who stopped Watson?

In these mythical Eubank fights against ATG’s for me it always comes down to Eubanks output or lack of which makes me judge against him.
Hearns isn’t knocking Eubank out but it’s entirely conceivable that he sticks him on the end of the jab and throws enough combos, lands more blows to outpoint Chris.
However I just see Eubank wearing Hearns down and landing enough to gain a late stoppage.

Yes, I know what you mean with Eubank. A few match up s I have him losing because of that.
But this one I've a feeling that Eubank, possibly behind on the cards and showing signs of the battle, rips into Hearns and stops him. Would be a close call and demands for a rematch imo.

Eubank late KO. Too strong and hard hitting for Hearns. He'd walk down in the late rounds

Eubank was offered this very fight and turned it down due to the amount of "respect" he had for Hearns.

Personally I think Hearns outboxes him.

Eubanks is fast becoming overrated on this forum.

Good fighter, great chin but he was sheltered in the UK.

Hearns is a higher caliber of fighter, more impressive on film, more tested and more proven. Tommy wins by wide UD going away imo.

I'm going hearns and to be honest I'm quite confident . Hearns jab and boxing ability were on a different level to Eubank .

Lyle had a huge size, strength and weight advantage over Roy.

Despite starting at a lighter weight than Eubank Tommy wasn’t at a size disadvantage, was faster, more skilled and proved that he could carry his power up in weight.
Chris’s only chance is to stop Hearns in my opinion which is a possibility but I’m backing Tommy to put his boxer hat on and put on a jabbing clinic and keep Chris honest with that lightening straight right to win a clear and wide UD.

What? Oh dear... Please.. Eubank was a solid natural 180-185 guy and hearns was a long skinny framed guy. Natural 154 /160 guy

Hearns won world titles at Lt Heavyweight (which Eubanks never did) and competed reasonably successfully at Cruiserweight late in his career. He wasn’t always a welterweight string bean, he filled out considerably as he rose in weight. Don’t mistake being tall and rangy for being weak either. Tommy had 3” in height and 5” in reach on Chris so stop being wilfully ignorant about the so called “size disparity”. Hearns was more than big enough to compete with Eubanks.

Hearns from late 1988 to spring 1990 (kinchen/srl/olajide) was the worst Hearns we saw during 1977-1993 which is his career of relavence.

The 1991-92 Hearns was a sharper active and better boxer....he had ditched Emmanuel Steward who was demoralising tommy at this stage.

That said...even a shot hearns with a short circuited chin and legs just had so many tools ....the exceptional body punching and right hand...75% of his speed was better than other guys 100%.......but at this stage hearns was wobbling around at any half decent powershot and his arrogant phase 1984-87) where he showed contempt for defence had resulted in the barkley disaster.....defeat from the jaws,of victory.

Clinching wasnt gonna help him with eubank....chris was brutally strong.....if a spent Hearns let olajide back into the fight.....if he had to hang on life and death vs kinchen...if barkley one punched him..than chris, has a,real chance with that looping right hand....eubank before the watson rematch was a great finisher.....i think he'd have a shot at finishing a hurt hearns.

I think it comes down to....if hearns goes in arrogant at a fast pace pummelling eubanks than if he doesnt kayo him....theres a very good chance eubanks comes back into the fight late....like andries did...but this, weaker worn out hearns gets stopped....a real chance in this time period......hearns,had tightened up his, defences vs,SRL but got hurt badly twice.......i dont think eubank had the offensive tools of srl...or quite the power of Barkley......so all said I see hearns shutting out eubank for 8 rounds than chris coming back hard but it being too late....116-112 hearns on points

Size is not height and reach, then hearns would be bigger than Tua,Frazier and Tyson but it is not the case. Eubank was much more solid, Had Much more robust frame. If you are debating and insinuating that Eubank was not the bigger man.. then end of the conversation

I remember the Kinchen fight, the knock down over Tommy. My God, I've never seen a man grab hold for dear life as much. Hed learnt from the Barkley fight tho he had to. Saved him the fight in the end.
