How goes a rematch, at middle, between Hearns and Duran, in June 1988?
This of course is that period of time, where Hearns gets kod by Iran. Also not far from Duran beating the very same.
So is the result any different from the first fight between Tommy and Roberto?
Could Hearns be overconfident and fail to deliver?

I've often wondered about this scenario,Fergy. I reckon that Hearns would always have had Duran's number but can't see a rematch in the year you mention being a one sided beatdown like their 1984 fight.

Hearns by clear but,at times, competitive decision.

I don’t think it goes the distance. It would be somewhat similar to Hearns vs Roldan. But Duran hasn’t got Roldan’s left hook. Hearns just has Duran’s number and styles wise Hearns always will. Hearns ko around 4.

Duran would do better than in their first fight. He would get koed in the 3rd round.

I definitely think it would be a n harder fight for Hearns, Stevie.
Tommy, I belive, took Iran lightly. I'd think he maybe would here.
Duran maybe confident, gives Hearns a surprisingly harder fight.

I reckon Hearns still wins but the fight goes longer, maybe even to a decision.

The Hearns that lost to Barkley was still pretty impressive. He was breaking Iran with body shots until Iran pulled the proverbial rabbit out the hat.

I'm not sure Duran could ever beat Hearns at any point of their respective careers. Some say (and I agree) that Duran had some fear of Hearns. It may sound strange to think that such a warrior like Duran could show fear of another man, but I honestly think Hearns put the shits up him a bit.
