Benn can hurt Hearns if he lands, but I can see Hearns doing a Shuler on him.

Benn all day! Even on his way down from being KO'd himself Benn could KO you, such was his natural power and powers of recuperation when hit hard.

it would be like the hagler fight, benn was a better brawler than Hagler and in a brawl - which it would be Benn KO 4 vs Hearns

this is a miss-match to be honest.

Hearns can't fight on the back foot at all. he's wide open and all over the place. Benn with his pressure and power is wiping him out in the early rounds by brutal KO.

Hearns was taller and had a longer reach than Benn so that would give him an edge but Benn was more natural at the weight and carried it better. I see this going one of two ways. Either Hearns superior height and reach coupled with his unique jab and considerable power keeps Benn at a distance and he wears him down for a mid-to-late round stoppage or Benn utilizing his speed, relentless pressure and considerable power rushes him and finishes him before the 4th.

It would be brutal, who lands 1st, could go the Shular route or the Hagler route, at Super/Middleweight Benn wipes Hearns out rapid.

It would be a shootout and in a shootout it could go either way.

I am not sure if anyone said this yet. Whoever lands first wins. I would go with Hearns. Hearns would know Benn is dangerous and land his right first and stop Benn. And Hearns was not at his best at this weight and time.

it would be nerveracking at 168 for Hearns. although Hearns was extremely experienced by the time he fought at 168. having fought Cuevas,Leonard,Duran,Benitez,Hagler, Barkley etc. Thomas Hearns was never the same after Hagler and guys fought him to knock him out after that. They learned to take it to Hearns. Seems like most long fights after Hagler were wars involving Hearns except Virgil Hill.
