Likely Hearns stops Cotto within 6, but Cotto's got the power and the bodypunching (plus the defense to at least avoid most of Tommy's big shots)to wear Tommy down and stop him within 10 rounds. But yeah, I pick Hearns by knockout.

Hearns within three. Cotto doesn't have the chin, size, speed or skill to do anything against Tommy. Terrible match up for Cotto I think.

Cotto doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell.

And what do you mean part 3 of a Cuevas/Duran trilogy? They fought once.

Part 1: Bounce Cuevas off the Canvas

    Part 2: Leave Duran face-first

Part 3: Projected Victor of the "Battle of San Juan Hill"

Yeah, not a good matchup for Cotto. Demarcus Corley had him badly hurt, Tommy would not let him off the hook. I do think he's a little more versatile than Cuevas though which would enable him to get punished for a few more rounds.

Hearns would destroy him very early.

Cuevas had a very good chin though, and you saw how easily he was flattened.

I can imagine him getting out of the first round, but Tommy turning it on in the second, and landing his left to the body at will. Cotto would be close to the ropes when Tommy would stick out his left and fire a huge right cross.
Down goes Cotto, and he wouldn't be getting back up.

    I hear y'all...Styles make fights,and for Cotto,this is bad match-up.

I say The Hitman clocks him in 6.

    Too much speed and power.

Some people here overrate Hearns and underrate Cotto. The example with Cotto being hurt by Corley is a bad one, because when it comes to Malignaggi, who´s hated, than people say things like "Well, Cotto was so weight drained, he looked almost death, etc.", it´s a double standard. IMO, Cotto was hurt at 140 lbs only by good punchers like Torres, Corley, etc., but at 147 lbs, he looked way stronger, also his chin (Judah, Mosley Quintana, all guys who has power). And let´s not forget Hearns has a chin who could easily be cracked by a fighter with Cotto´s qualities. IMO I can´t make a prediction yet, because Cotto is now in his prime and I´ll see him fighting some other hard fights to judge him and compare him with a future HOF and ATG like Hearns. Right now I favour Hearns because of his size, compared with his power and skills, but who knows what Cotto shows in the future...
