Seriously man i seen the post. Im not trying to lie cause thats not me but i dont want no one to say one thing and not be able to admit to what he said before. He said something like bernards athleticism was in its prime when he had fought roy and that it wouldnt of been any difference if they fought prime to prime. My whole thing is that roy looked his best and was in his best shape during the hop toney fights. Soon after those fights roy began laying on the ropes which means if roy would have fought hops 4 to five years later he wouldnt have beaten him(at that time roy barely beat griffin). Roys best shape was against the to hof's so i question the improvement of roy during his raign on the top of the pound 4 pound list. Go look at post toney fights and you will see roy faded showing signs of fatigue very soon after

Hops by ko 8th rnd. Remember if you chase hops down you will be down on the ground. Hearns really stringgie and strong but he wouldnt of been able to take hops shots. He was a great fighter but hops punches would have worn him down without a doubt but also remeber hops is the wizard and should of held that name in his prime cause he was very tactical with a boxing IQ ive never seen before.

I don't believe Sweet Pea has any bias against Hopkins. We have had several debates with Hopkins involved and while he is not much of a fan, he has an unbiased view. I am not convinced that Hearns would win, I think Hopkins would be successful at pushing Tommy back and landing with enough big shots to gradually break him down, holding and hitting, and he would be able to land his own counters either at mid range or occasionally on the outside, but what Sweet Pea said is a perfectly reasonable view of the fight, as is his view of the prime situation of Jones-Hopkins (which I also believe).

I certainly did say that. I never said Hopkins was in his prime for the bout though, the same way Jones was not in his prime.
