    Well if he's such a pure boxer, and the greatest pure boxer of all time as you say, he should have been able to survive more than 3 rounds. But then again the previous statement is full of horse manure :hey:good

    He could have survived more rounds if he ran, but he didn't. He tried to fight fire with fire, but Hagler had the better chin.

    Yeah because he couldn't outbox Hagler. He had to brawl as he wasn't smart nor capable enough to outbox the superior Hagler...glad to see we finally agree :smooch:smooch

    No way does Hears-Jones go 12 in my opinion. A KO by either fighter wouldn't surprise me. If I had to pick, I would go with Jones by mid rounds KO.

    I have seen Hagler fight, but I've also seen SRR, SRL, Whitaker, Mayweather, Toney fight. That's why I can only reply to your post with a "lol". Unless you think none of those guys fought someone as good as Hagler, then your statement is complete bulls****.

    Hearns was never, never a pure boxer, let alone being the greatest.

    I would be willing to say that Hearns at 147/154 was every bit as good as Jones at 168/175. Having said that, the size difference gives Jones a clear edge here. He stops Hearns.

    Roy was basically just a bigger version of Ray, with almost the same offensive and defensive attributes.

    Roy was just as skilled, but in an unconventional way.

    He was just as fast, if not faster.

    He was just as hard to hit, if not harder.

    He had a lot more power than Ray.


    Ray beat Tommy, but you're saying Roy couldn't have done.

    With respect to Toney and Hopkins, they are no Ray Leonard. We're talking a Welterweight Ray Leonard here. That is a unique challenge.

    Ray employed a good strategy and he won the fight.
