Hearns vs Margarito

Did u see what Hearns did to Duran? Now imagine what he would do to a come foward punching bag like Margarito.

 

There's one thing certain here . Tommy is not like Floyd. Fishnets & the other WW's that ducked Tony Margarito. He would come to fight & so would Tony. It would be one hell of a fight. Tony has a cast iron chin, but Tommy has a suspect chin. I do not think Tommy could KO Tony or even stop him as Tony has never ever QUIT in his life. To his own detriment eg Pacquaio fight. But Tommy is one heck of a fighter& Tony does not have the skills Tommy does.
As for the Steroid Shane debacle?? Shane was juiced to the gills. Tony was nowhere near 100% Add to that the disgusting disgraceful railroading he suffered he never had a chance. Tony badly wanted a rematch to beat the hell out of the juicer but was banned from doing so Mosely wasnt keen either.
For me a Tommy/Tony fight would be a barn burner. The longer it went the more it would suit Tony with both at 100% its a fight I'd love to have seen

 

Margarito is a tall man for the WW division but he'd be the significantly shorter man in a match with the Hitman.

People seem to forget that Tommy had very good boxing ability and good footwork. He knew how to use the ring and moved very well for a man his size. Margarito is a come forward fighter who had cement in his feet (and plaster in those hands!)

Tommy could easily outbox him from the outside all night or target Margarito with his laser right hand and stop him in the mid to late rounds. i know Tony has a terrific chin but if he were to get knocked out cold by anyone in the history of the WW division, Hearns would be the most likely candidate.

 

Margarito boxes his ears off in a fight that would look similar to Canelo vs Floyd.

What is aweful about it ?? Every word is true. Actually I have known Tony since 1999 when he fought Buck Smith in Ft Worth Texas. He was a great FIGHTER !! . A heck of a nice guy as long as you didnt get in the ring with him LOL. What happened to him was deplorable a good fighters good name & career tarnished by blatant lies

Possible although unlikely that Margarito simply puts his hands up, cover up, weather the storm and swing for the fences once he corners Hearns. With those wraps hitting cotto with, he may very well stop the suspect chin Hearns.

I don’t think Margo is much worse than Iran Barkley.
