i think hearns has the perfect style to beat PBF.

oscar showed that a tall fighter with a very good/fast jab could get to mayweather.

cause mayweather likes to pull you in by leaning on the ropes or with his great upper body movement. then he uses his speed and accuracy to counterpunch your ass off.
but if you pressure him with the jab, you dont have to lean in on him and you can force him to lead.

and hearns is even taller and has both a longer jab and more power than oscar.

i see him beating PBF by UD.

Agreed. In terms of styles, it may look a bit like Jones vs Toney; Heans like Jones has great speed and has a much longer reach, i don't think a defensive style like Mayweather's is going to do it. He doesn't have the power to hurt Hearns either, i think.
It won't be as one-sided as Jones-Toney, but i don't think Mayweather will win this one.

We all know Hearns is the anti-mayweather...I mean how many times will you post this.. Besides him and probably Aaron Pryor. They both have the type of style to beat Mayweather clearly where there is probably no question. Hearns had the reach fast hands fast movement accurate punches and just could box his ass of and had a Dynamite in his right hand. You can see him catching floyd when floyd pulls back with his chin in the air...Just the worst matchup for Floyd..But floyd is still a great fighter no matter what.

Post up the picture of Duran lying face down after a Hearns' TNT
right hand made contact, but change Duran's name to PBF.

yeah pryor would've been tough for flyod too-i never thought of it till reading the above...but his relentless punvhing and pressure might really have taken flyod out of his game

I agree also good pick, the Hawk would have been a bad matchup for PBF. RE: Hearns nothing more needs to be said, a nightmare for PBF.

Hearns body attack slows up Floyd. Hearns starches him in 9.

Early KO for Hearns, He has the reach and power, I don't see how Mayweather could nullify either of those at 147.

That´s a matchup PBF can´t win, Hearns was such a big WW, Floyd is not, Thomas would easily outbox PBF because of his reach advantages, powerwise he was also in another league, PBF don´t have the power at WW to KO him IMO, I see 3 painful rounds for PBF, and in the 4th he will suffer a brutal Duran-like KO...

    Hearns KO 4 PBF

Floyds defence will see it go to the cards. However Floyd hasn't shown us he can handle THIS LEVEL of adversity.

Hearns is out boxing him, period. SRL at 5'10, 74" didn't have the height, reach or speed for him. Neither did Benitez and nor will Floyd.

Does Floyd take to this like Benitez or SRL? P4P sure, I'll pick Floyd. If Hearns was shrunk to a 130 pounder, I'm sure he'd only be about 5'10 or 11 and Floyd would take the W but this is Welterweight.

We just don't know if Floyd will take to it like Benitez or Leonard. Leonard and Benitez were in the fight but losing rounds. Leonard did something about it.

Against Judah, Floyd did something about it and fought the sort of fight he'd need to on Hearns. But Judah isn't Hearns. Hearns puts you in a world of **** and he did that to arguably the best 135, 140, 147 and 160 pounder ever. I think he could do it to arguably the best 130 pounder too.
