Look throughout Mayweathers career, he has never really faced a fellow athletic fighter with serious power, who also has serious boxing skills. Only really Zab Judah, and a mentally shot Oscar De La Hoya where those type of fighters........Mayweather also struggled vs Oscar De La Hoya! The fight could of went ether way, and Zab Judah is a talented fighter...but he is a complete *****. I would also put Shane Mosley in this list, but no fault of Mayweather he was on the serious down slide, look at the state of Mosley now..? He has has just been beaten by a fake white Mexican. If any of the great 80's fighters could knocked out Floyd Mayweather it would be Tommy Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard could maybe TKO him...........the fact of the matter is, you need more than a defence, to stop guys like Tommy Hearns & Sugar Ray Leonard. And i will still say it again, Floyd Mayweather has poor power, he does not have elite level power. Technically and athletically, Mayweather's oponents always have a glaring floor, 90% of the time. This is not Mayweathers fault, its just the landscape of boxing these days, there are very few talented athlete's or well rounded fighters. Mayweather would be abused left, right, and centre if he was born 20 years earlier, or something like that.
Why do I need to give an analyse, pretty much anyone with a brain can work out how the fight would go, Hearns pushing mayweather back with the jab and right hand, Mayweather countering but overall Hearns getting the better of things and eventually overwhelming and cornering Mayweather where he lets loose with his entire arsenal and stopping him (late) but for people to suggest a walk in the park KO for Hearns is ludacris.
Not you! I was referring to your post. It seemed to menyou thought everyone was just going for the obvious choice rather than analysing it. I agree it requires no analysis...every so often it comes up and needs a serious answer to illustrate how it's most probably a mismatch. Walk in the park K.O is not ludicrous. Suggesting Mayweather would course punch Tommy is, he would have little chance of imposing that IMO unless Hearns is fighting like a spastic.
Hearns doesn't see round 3. He won't land for sh!t and Floyd shots are so much straighter and quicker.
Tommy's bodyshots would carve him up a treat and prime him for delivering his coup de grâce right hand up top.
You're the forum idiot. as usual. if you read any of the posts you'd realise that Hearns would win BECAUSE HE WAS BETTER.
Did Tommy ever have to deal with a fighter who was as well equipped at the Shoulder Roll as Mayweather? I think this adds complications to the effectiveness of Tommy's offence, certainly his body attack will be limited compared to how it usually is. His right hand is what would give Mayweather hell, but I can see Floyd avoiding the jab.
