Thomas "Hitman" Hearns vs John "The Beast" Mugabi at 154, at their respective best.

Hearns was sharper and better and more experienced. Some say Hearns didn't have a chin, but he was rarely hit clean early and Mugabi's chin always failed him also and against Hearns. I think Hearns knocks him out in 2 rounds.

Hearns' range is the difference here. He connects more easily with Mugabi's questionable chin than vice versa. I like TH inside the distance.

It's a pick em fight as far as I'm concerned. Tommy is by far and away the better fighter, but without doubt Mugabi had the power to drop, and stop Hearns, out of the Blue.

If Hearns had Ray Leonards chin he would be an easy pick..

this is a pick em fight to tough to call..

if i were Hearns manager back in the day i would have avoided Mugabi like the plague.

That reach and jab make the difference Mugabi could bang but was stiff legged and not as fluid with his shots.Hearns by ko.

I see a one sided victory for The Hitman. A devastating combo of power and skill see Hearns to victory within three or four rounds.
