This is one of the worst fights style wise for Pacquiao at 147. I'd pick Hearns to take most WW's and when you add that to one who is so much shorter (both height & in reach), one who is smaller in terms of natural size & one who like to come forward - it really plays into Tommy's hands. Don't get me wrong Pacquiao is a hell of a fighter but against the real Hitman, I see his aggression & willingness to trade being a major weakness againt Hearns.
Only two WW's in history can beat Hearns, Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard. I'd still back Tommy to beat Ray Leonard over 12 rounds. No Welterweight today can go 12 rounds with Tommy Hearns except for maybe Floyd Mayweather, who would have to be at his absolute defensive best, and in the process lose a wide decision due to his lack of offensive output.
Hearns by brutal KO inside 2. Then the *******s would be telling you that if you see the fight in slo-mo, its actually Pacquiao, the one who knocked out Hearns :yep
Good Post. And at WW, Hearns lost a total of one fight... 1. He was stopped on Round 14 - you hear me? 14!!! after outboxing arguably one of the greatest boxers ever at any weight. (And for the record, he outboxed his ass thoroughly in the rematch - both past prime) The better question for this thread would be who is the worst h2h matchup for Pac.
Let's be honest here guys, Hearns' power will not be a factor in this fight. His punches will not be felt by Pac. Since Pac is already out cold once it lands.
Hearns ****s him up. I don't really match Pacquiao (or Floyd for that matter) up with the great fighters at WW. I do more so at lower weights.
That is a truly unfair fight I give it pac he would go out on his shield though but it would be from either the first telephone pole right hand or the second one
The question is, can he survive? If Pac could survive for 12 rounds straight and not do running man impression, then i would be majorly impressed. But Pac doesn't do defensive so would last 2-3 rounds at best and that is down to Pac's good chin and solid legs. I wonder if a full power left straight from Pac would make Hearns flinch?
