Say at welterweight..Cant see Hearns going to Jr Welterweight. Yes, I know they fought at a much earlier time when Hearns was just starting out...:bbb

Tough to see Pryor winning this, thou stranger things in boxing have happened...

Hearns most likely wins a decision...

I think Pryor would have a better chance against Hearns than Leonard...

Tough fight, Pryor's a 1st class boxer, you jump on Hearns & you are in with a great shout, just go watch round 6 of the 1st Leonard fight when SRL stopped doing his faux Ali act & stopped skating around the ring, he just walked Tommy down & battered him all over the ring, only the bell saved Hearns, after that Tommy got on his bike!

Hearn's would get beat in this matchup.

Pryor would attack, and not stop to give Hearns respect. If Pryor avoids the right coming inside, he will eventually catch spaghetti legs Tommy and start the disintegration process.

I LOVE hearns, he is one of my Favorites. But, he does not hold up to aggression well.

Hearns, to much of everything except perhaps speed. Huge size difference.

Didn't Pryor KO Hearns in the unpaid ranks?

Yea i believe Pryor beat Hearns when they were both in the Amatuer ranks way back in 1976..

But the minor leagues are like night and day from the pros, classic example is Tyson, Tillman...

Hearns in 1976, was just a boy, 17 or 18 high school age, and didn't even have his man strength yet..

Even for a hypothetical matchup this is too unrealistic; no amount of money could have tempted a noted ducker like Pryor into the ring with someone like Hearns.

Seriously, anyone who thinks this stumpy little **** could have even been remotely competitive against Hearns isn't worth listening to in any context. Hearns mediocre stablemate had this guy shook to his boots; Hearns would f*cking vaporise him.

Pryor has the kind of aggressive, frenetic style to rattle Tommy and throw him off his game plan. However, Hearns has such a leverage advantage here, that I think he eventually lands a devastating right and finishes Pryor.
