    Whats your pick? Why?
Toney is my pick. He was very tough mofo in MW with granite chin and very fast hands.

Perhaps Toney, but not too sure about that one. Jones outboxed Toney you know.

Hearns of 1986 beats Toney of 1991, but Toney of 1993 beats Hearns of 1989.

    Good post!!!

I had never considered this match-up and now that I do, it's a winner for many reasons, not least because Hearns' prime (imo) was not at MW! And as some posters have already stated, both fighters had times during their MW careers where they probably would have beat the other guy!!

With both men fighting their best fights at MW, I am ever so slightly favouring Toney!

But if "Prime" Hearns was at 160 I would have no doubt that he would win!!

    Great match-up!!:good

If we exclude "Prime for Prime" imaginary fight and consider only that fight that could have happened, I'm picking toney all the way. But it tough one if you take Hearns from Hagler fight(without broken hand).

Toney catches Hearns late with a counter and finishes up by stoppage.

But can it be Hearns -Leonard(first fight) all over again?
Well I know it was at WW but Hearns has same size advantages over toney as he had against Leonard. In 12 rounder I can see Hearns jabbing the **** out off Toney.

Hearns won't hold physical advantages against Toney at Middleweight. Slim chance that he can box Toney from the outside, jabbing and moving.

Toney is natural MW unlike Tommy. Which is debatable. But in terms of size advantage, Hearns bigger then Toney. Toney and Leonard has same size.
