I dont think Tyson would have had any respect for Hearns punching power and literally would have just mown through him. Same as he would have done to Holyfield in 1991-92
Nah, Holyfield always presented a physical problem for Mike. He would have tied him up, made it messy, make him mkeep reseting himself, anytime that they fought.
I think that had more to do with Evander bulking up around 1996 when they did fight and being able to outmuscle Tyson, i dont think he could have done that back in 1991-2, Tyson would have walked through him.
Maybe so. But Evander was such a versatile fighter compared to Mike, he might have found a way to win.
Its funny how revisionist history leads some to believe that because Foreman called out Tyson and Tyson didnt take the fight that Tyson was afraid of Foreman. Bull****. This was going on when I was about as into boxing as I would ever get (my interest in the modern era has drastically faded in the last 10 yrs). Tyson didnt fight Foreman (and frankly nobody wanted him to) because it was feared he would hurt Foreman. Its as simple as that. When this fight was most likely Foreman everybodies favorite side show freak, seen as something between a cuddly teddy bear and don quixote. Nobody wanted him to continue boxing and nobody wanted him in against a big puncher. His LOSS to Holyfield, a very convincing LOSS I might add was seen as a moral victory. Nothing else. At the time Holyfield wasnt considered in the same light as Tyson who was still something of a myth. Now whether you believe that Foreman actually could have beaten Tyson is neither here nor there because the fight didnt happen and it didnt happen not because Tyson was scared but because everyone else was scared for Foremans safety. The fact that Foreman's latter career was proven to be a sideshow sham when Bob Arum admitted to paying bribes to get opponents that they knew (or thought they knew in Axel Schulz' case) he could beat to get rankings just so he could fight them without having to face legitimate threats. Ill go to my grave believing Michael Moorer took a dive. As for a prime Foreman: Anyone who gets dropped by and goes life and death with Ron Lyle who wasnt a pimple on Tysons ass, and gets dropped by the feather fisted Jimmy Young need not apply. Tyson was too fast and too defensively adept not to be able to avoid Foreman's swinging barn door punches and counter with fast punches harder than anything Foreman ever got hit with. People point to the Frazier and Norton fights but Tyson's chin wasnt even in the same zip code as those two, why not point to some of the more durable guys that Foreman had ten kinds of hell with, (no not human heavybag George Chuvalo).
the biggest bunch of **** i did read ever :happy]. listen little kid... foreman was bad mentally when he faced ron lyle and jimmy young, just like tyson was against buster the bum douglas, the great difference is foreman lost against young by ud and he did beat lyle by ko. and tyson was destroyed by a piece of ****. jimmy young was stolen against ali, shavers and norton. just a leg of young is better than buster douglas.ron lyle was a boxer-puncher, he was very very strong very muscular 220 pounder with long reach, simply tyson did not have the style of lyle, tyson was a short puncher, little rabbit. cus damato watched footages of boxing with tyson every night to study the styles. and cus told tyson that the style of marciano, frazier, patterson, dempsey or tyson would be a suicide against george foreman,. tyson faced a shot larry holmes , but he wanted no part of george foreman.because styles make fights, foreman might be outboxed but he destroy punchers who exchange blows with him and it is a fact. you can talk the **** that you want, the facts are, foreman called tyson1500 times and tyson wanted no part of foreman. george was bigger, stronger, harder puncher,he had better chin, more heart, longer reach, more strength and styles make fights. any foreman would **** in the face of any version of tyson. Anyone who starts a post by saying "listen little kid" is likely younger than the person they are replying to, as such their opinion means dick... However, just to satisfy you: Nobody took Foreman calling out Tyson seriously. Nobody. It was looked on as a quixotic mission of jousting at windmills. That fight was never even seriously on the table. Period. Foreman was a sideshow attraction in his second reign. No questions asked. To give you an example Bob Arum paid $200,000 just to get Axel Schulz ranked by the IBF so Foreman could fight him rather than have to face a serious contender. $200,000!!!! We are talking about 1990s money here too! If Arum was willing to pay that kind of green just to get a bum ranked and keep the gravy train rolling do you seriously think A. He wasnt going to pay more to get Foreman a title which would have enhanced his marketability and B. Avoid fighters who could have derailed him? Hell he even managed to lose to Tommy Morrison who was supposed to be made to order for Foreman, and the damn near lost to Alex Stewart after having his face turned into hamburger by him. You pick the best fighters he fought on his comeback (there werent many good ones he faced) and he lost to them with the exception of Moorer who dominated him for the entire before getting stopped by one bull**** blow and then doing a worse acting job Michalczewski against Rocchiggiani.
I have to agree, 1991 Tyson beats 1991 Foreman. If he trained properly, 1991 Tyson beats 1991 Holyfield too.

any version of freman would ko any version of tyson, styles make fights. and tyson 91 would beat who?¿?¿ ahahahahahahahahahah ,tyson was destroyed by the biggest bum ever buster douglas in 1990, holyfield raped douglas and exposed him. evander holyfield in 1991 would **** in the face of any version of tyson. kevin rooney, cus damato, tyson in his prime blablablabla pure ****!!! and excuses. the facts are tyson was scared of old foreman , the facts are evander faced foreman with 2 balls. and th efacts are foreman in his 40s was competent against the best evander, and a past prime evander destroyed tyson. :deal
I suppose that,in the early 90's,George was one of the 'who needs him' brigade for Tyson. Tyson would have beaten George at that time,by decision. Prime for prime,George knocks Tyson out.
Really? The same version that got his features rearranged by Alex Stewart? The same Stewart who Tyson **** all over? The same Foreman who got totally outboxed by a china chinned fraud like Morrison? Foreman was a joke in the 90s and completely overrated in 70s. The only reason anyone thinks Foreman would beat Tyson is because of what he did to Frazier who was smaller, less durable, easier to hit, and a lighter puncher than Tyson... The fact is that Tyson would have been the most offensively dynamic and hardest hitting fighter Foreman ever faced. The closest thing to Tyson that Foreman ever faced in his PRIME was Ron Lyle who wasnt anywhere near as good as Tyson and Foreman went life and death with him.
Tyson was supremely conditioned physically & mentally in '91 for 12 rounds of brutal war, Giachetti had him highly motivated to win back the titles. His debilitating body punches in bunches would devastate Holy & Old Foreman.
