It's a fairly easy shot ta throw 'n land. After jabbing a couple times when you're in the pocket, bend at the knees, lower than his guard, 'n fire a right straight between his arms at his heart. He won't react quick enough to counter.

If you land solid, you should stop him in his tracks 'n finish him.

The fatefull solar plexus shot in Corbett Fitzsimmons was really a heart punch.

Jim Jeffries was also fond of this shot.

There's something quite worrying about being hit in the heart, I can imagine it being very affective if done properly.

I remember this as a heart punch finish. lloyd targeted the chest a lot in this fight and it paid off. impact was instant when it landed just so. forward to 8.56. vacca's agony was genuine.

in his book ray robinson named the heart and the temple as his 2 main targets. I guese if you aim at those two targets you wont go far wrong since the floating rib, liver, solar plexus and jaw are near so its all good.

This is just silly. Possibly the most natural counter in boxing is the straight right to the heart under a left jab. It is a draining punch and it effectively 'shortens' the jabbers left arm after you land it a time or two. I've trained it for the 20 years that I've been involved in that aspect of boxing; why you don't see it more often is beyond me.
