Michael Hunter has won for the second time.

Favorite Timurziev blew away his customer in one.
Jaksto held of Stefan Köber (Sebastian's brother)
Vlacheslav Glazkov of the Ukraine, Kubrat Pulev, Davis Price and R.Cammarelle advanced.

At 201 lbs Poyatsika seems to be in form again,
Rakim Chakhiev is arguably the favorite here, maybe German Povernov.
Unfortunately American powerpuncher Wilderis is out, he was weakened by the flu.

Michael Hunter (USA) has proven that he can compete with the best in the world. However, to make the top four n qualify for the Olympics he must beat Delavari (IRN), who topok bronze at the Asian Games. If he previals there he will need to beat Timurziev (RUS) to make the Semi's. He has a very tough road ahead of him.

The worst draw in the tournament is at Superheavyweight as well.

Saidov, Abdusalsmov, Koeber, Jakstro, Rivas, Glazkov and Ciocan are all in the SAME quarter.

Rustam Saidov (UZB), Asian Games Gold Medalist and 2x Olympian has already fallen in this quater by RSC in :54 seconds at the hands of Abdusalsmov of Belarus!

Round of 16 of this quarter looks like this
    Abdusalsmov (BLR) vs. Jakstro (LTU)
    Rivas (COL) vs. Glazkov(UKR)

Slick Hunter has the style to make Timurziev look bad (of course Islam is favored).
Huge upset that Saidov went out already.
Let's see if Abdusalsmov gets by Jakstro.
