Im 6'0" 205lbs. boxer/puncher. I am interested in a fairly cheap bag that is heavy enough not to swing around on me but heavy enough to take my weightier punches. Im asking because i usually just use the bags around the gym but they are pretty old and not so perfect i wanted one for home incase i dont have time to head to the gym. One of the trainers suggested i get a water bag but ive heard mixed things about them.

What about one of those free standing bags, they don't really move around at all and you can push them out of the way when need be?

i dont really care for them because i can really come in and out as freely as i would like. The base gets in the way of my legs

I'd just go for a 90 lb or 100lb heavy bag then.
If you can go to a tire yard or junkyard, you can get a big tire to keep the bag centered from underneath so its not moving all around while your hitting it.

If you get a Belt round your waste then get strong elastic, tied around the Bag. Make sure its 3" longer than your Jab arm the connect it to your Belt, it doesnt matter how Heavy the Bag is. It doesnt half make you work and move your feet
