Lads, 1) I've got a heavy bag from someone at work but I might be moving house soon so I'm reluctant to hook it up to my celing or against my wall. Has anyone ever had this problem? Any creative ideas on how I can stand it up? 2) Do the gloves you use make a difference? I've got some BBE's that I think are from Argos, not sure if their bag or sparring gloves, they're quite big. As always, any answers are appreciated.
develop your powers of levitation to a point where you can susspend the bag to hit it, failing that by a free standing stand. As for gloves, no idea someone who knows something about boxing/ training will have to answer
that would have to have been the most helpful post ive ever read! is there anyway u can tie ur bag to a pole or tree or something? and as for gloves it depends on the bag i think, i have a smaller bag at home and just hit it bareknuckle but at the gym i just use bag gloves
A1) Look for a corner stand if you have the room for it, that way you can break it down and move it when your ready to go. A2) You'd have to check the ounces on the gloves(not sure what gloves your referring to). You want something at least between 14-16oz to give ya enough padding so you don't bust your hand up on the bag. Also recommend you buy some knuckle wraps for extra padding and protection, plus it keeps your wrist in place so it doesn't buckle too much if you hit the bag wrong. For the knuckle wraps, get them atleast 180' in length, otherwise your not going to have enough wrap for your whole hand correctly.
