Dawson stepped up against a tough, experienced fighter and he had all he could handle. Tarver will further expose Dawson. I don't think Dawson can run from Tarver the whole fight without getting caught.

Excellent analysis as usual Huki.:good I agree with just about everything you said. I think Dawson will simply outwork Tarver and make him look old. Tarver at his age can't keep pace with a guy like Dawson who can attack from all angles and throw combos almost at will. My only concern for Dawon is that he gets caught by something he doesn't see. My prediction is Dawson by wide UD.

Dawson has proven chin issues and the fact that his stamina isn't as good as everyone would like it to be was exposed against Glen Johnson.

It will realistically come down to whether he can keep Tarver away and off him for 12 rounds, but for me, the Tarver that dominated Woods will win this fight, if he comes in with that preparation, mentality and conditioning, this fight won't even be close.

Dawson is the new Lacy, after this fight.

Horrible prediction. First off Dawson is light years ahead of Lacy in terms of skill and accomplishments if you can't see this then there's no need of discussing this any further. Lacy was hype job a limited fighter with a cool nickname and a chissled physique with a number of KOs over a bunch of no-hopers who has done nothing since being schooled by Calzaghe. A comparison here simply can't be made other than the fact that they are both black.:deal

good arguing, even though I disagree in one big aspect: You greatly underestimate Tarver both physically and mentally. If he comes in in top shape and hasn't slipped any further his hand-speed is not that slow. His hands should be fast enough to hit Dawson. Besides that, he is one of the most confident fighters out and with him it is not an act. He is mentally very, very tough and we don't know yet how Chad deals with an opponent like that.

The big question for me is, whether Dawson gives Tarver the chance to be the counterpuncher. If he does, he might find himself in a lot of trouble.

If this was prime Tarver I would predict a KO, but this faded version that seems to tire in the later rounds will probably lose a UD. Tarver is durable, so I doubt that any LHW can knock him out at this stage.

If Tarver can fight like this for 12 rounds, it will hard work for chad:

The big issue with Tarver is that he looks like a guy ready to be taken, IMO. Lots of old fighters give you that impression & I have that w/ Tarver right now. Plus, he's facing youth & not an oldster like himself. Dawson may not be the guy to do it, but I don't see Tarver showing up with his A game for lets say his next 3 fights & he'll lose badly in one of them.
