Heavy Duty - Joshua MBE v Cornish Wafer

Well you are just a sad troll who gets a kick out of slagging off every fighter you possibly can. People are pathetic on here, a relative novice and the fighters you want him to go in with is Wach or Thompson. Thompson to this day is still one of the top ranked fighters in the world, Wach as I had previously said, I wanted to see this fight and am disappointed to see this not happen, but again he is far beyond the level he had previously fought at. There is no reason for someone to jump levels so quickly, Price did it with Thompson for example when he had previously looked very good and we all know what happened there.

Cornish is 21-0, people slagged off the Johnson fight as he wasn't coming to win, well if you take another durable type then that's what happens, Cornish will come to win, I've not known an unbeaten fighter come to lose. Its a fight that he needs to take, not the mot difficult fight and one that he should win comfortably, but its his first taste of a proper title fight, by that I mean a full title not an interim/intercontinental type belt, but I find it absolutely mad that people expect AJ to move faster than Klitschko, Lewis or any heavyweight from the past.

 

Hearn would be an utter idiot to put Joshua in with Tony Thompson that fight is way to big a risk

 

Bit soon for Joshua to be fighting Thompson. I'd prefer him to be fighting Wach in September.

 

I bring up Price because of the step up he made to fight Thompson, so they thought he was capable but they quite simply didn't know and if he had been tested just below that level they would have known and not took the fight. They tried to get Whyte and cant help it if he wasn't able to make it for that date, as I said there are fights I would have rather have seen but this is not a bad fight, no way can a novice fighting someone who is 21-0 be a bad fight.

 

In a fight he had no chance of winning, what is the point of that for a fighter when if like AJ you are expected by many to be at the top for a long time. For Chisora there was a chance that may have been his only chance at a world title so they took it and it turned out that it was the case. However AJ could take the shot now and get smashed by Klitschko for example as he has no chance of beating him at the minute, or gain experience by moving up in levels slowly and challenge for the title after 20-25 fights and probably be favourite against whoever he fights.

 

Good luck Cornish. Joshua is a muscle bound hype job, take the steam out of him and he"ll slow right up.

 

John McDermott, Jamie Hearn and Tom Little all stopped Larry Olubamiwo in 1 or 2 rounds. Gary Cornish went 8 rounds with him. Don't think I need to say much more.

 

Cornish is ok.. he's been chinned almost like Price.. but he got up.. he's got the feet to take Joshua to points..
