I remember that Areola fight, he beat Areola in my opinion. Damn how much gifts has Areola had, dude has had at least 3 questionable decision. Anyway I’m getting side tracked, why is it his team said he let himself and his family down, why aren’t they united in saying hey we never signed the fight contract, we never got a garunteed purse etc?

This is what makes me question Curtis’ story, otherwise I would be inclined to believe this is some shady stuff.

 

The only difference between this guy and thousands of others who get KO'd is everyone else was more concerned about looking worse by leaving the ring. This guy should not get another chance. He forfeited that right. Not saying he is a bad guy but he needs to cross boxing off his list of endeavors.

 

again I'm not saying what Harper did was right or I think he was getting screwed

but I'm hesitating to crucify him and demand a lifetime ban in case there is some degree of truth

at first I thought it was an elaborate scheme to make ajaba look more like a killer knowing a walkout would certainly go viral . but I realized that was crazy

I’m not gunna crucify him, I think he should have his case in front of a commission. He should make his case if found guilty he should serve a ban and comeback. Imo what he did wasn’t as bad someone taking a strong PED and they don’t crazy bans so why should he.

 

Are you sure, you ain’t referencing his quote: the coward and the hero experiences the same emotion, the only difference is the hero uses that emotion to basically overcome a challenge and the coward uses it to justify his cowardice.

I’m sure Ajagba will get compensated somehow, anyway he gets his name out there and the exposure this situation has gotten will definitely increase his visibility.

Harper won’t get paid for sure so in an effort to protest not getting a garunteed payment he did something which really eliminated any chance he had of getting paid. How ironic.

 

All of his stars have stayed loyal and not signed with the other promoters who have offered them deals. So he is clearly not been bad to them.

If he was scared why didn't he just take a dive? Plenty of fighters have done that over the years, all he had to do was do a Malik Scott and go down first time he's tapped with a shot. Plus his walk out of the arena seemed pretty nonchalant.

As for the contract he says he never saw it or signed it, the promoter says he's lying and that Harper confirmed prior to the bout he confirmed his signature on the electronic contract. Who's lying? Not a clue until someone impartial weighs in and provides definitive evidence we don't know what really happened.
