That's right, but why would you focus on the haters? Let the haters hate and gather with the people that don't hate:good

Basically all of Haye's fights are heavyweight. The weigh-in weight is a pushed down weight.

But against high quality opposition. VERY unusual. I would say that Povetkin is better prepared than Foreman facing Ali.

So? Moreover he gets better from fight to fight.

Size matters. And his win ratio is VERY good.

Speculation. And especially since his brother has only 30+ fights.

It gets even better for Wlad when you consider that most of the old heavies were in fact cruisers or lower. Marciano had not a single heavyweight fight. Louis-Schmeling was a cruiser bout. So Wlad has definitely the better heavyweight resumee than Louis, let alone Marciano.

Its clear that you have not been on boxing broads very long...Wlad has always had as many haters as fans...Or I should say every since WE(American) got to see the KO lose to Ross the boss and Sanders.

Heavyweight boxing is bad...Dead not yet but really bad...Many people have the feeling that Wlad can lose to any fighter in any fight and any time...And for those of us that have been around boxing for more then 10 years we know that it only been this way ONCE and that was in the early 80's pre Tyson.

Tha haters are out of ideas. THey have few prospects to invest in as well. Wlad is the best in the world, and is willing to fight the best.

Boxing is alive and well as a world sport.

 As I said just about any fighter in the top ten can blast Wlad out on any given night. This is by far the weakest that the top of the heavyweights have been since the early 80's. And its lead by the weakest undisputed top fighter (Wlad) in the history of boxing....I would call that pretty weak..Not dead but weak.

(thisir) Oh my god. Baseball and American Football is sooo dead. All the European athletes are way more into boxing than Baseball and Football. It's basically impossible to find ANY baseball/football tournament on European TV, despite of all the Hollywood propaganda (they even made MOVIES) to hype up these boring sports. It seems that Americans are only competitive when they fight amongst themselves, so that's why they play sports that only Americans are interested in.

Baseball and Football are sooo dead. Maybe Ali would have been a baseball player with such a strong non-US heavyweight division as now.

Heavyweight boxing is far from dead. The division still attracts arguably the most attention of any other amongst boxing fans, just look at these boards at the moment for a small sampling.
Negative or positive, it is still interest nonetheless. If it were as dismal as some claim, people would just not watch or talk about HW fights, much like they do with the LMW division at the moment.
There are many intriguing matches that will be made in the next 12 months that will bring even more attention to the HW division. None of those matches involve Americans, which is probably the source of the negative comments from many in that part of the world right now.

American heavyweight do not have the heart anymore, they only whant to play football. I don't even think I will see a pretty great Heavy in the upcomming years, since all the US amateur heavyweight have been sucking, they even lose to south americans heavy in amateurs tournaments , yes south amnericans heavyweiths exists lol.

It isn't dead. The domestic PPV numbers for the Klitschko fight were strong. Just about everyone who even marginally follows boxing that can only name a few fighters usually drops Klitschko's name.

Granted the US isn't dominating the heavyweight scene like it used to but I attribute that to two things. More depth from the foreign participants especially in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet sports system. The second thing is the economics of baseball, football, basketball in the US.

The league minimum in all these sports has escalated off the chart. Ridiculous contracts to draft picks in these sports make the pay scene for up and coming fighters look like a sad joke. You can get a college degree with all of these other sports whereas there is no educational benefits from boxing. If I were an athletic kid today I wouldn't even consider boxing given the risk reward ratio. We're losing talent to other sports because the opportunities are exponentially superior.

But lastly the US still has more heavyweights in the top fifty than any other nation by far. It's still a major player but it'll never be like it was in the old days.

If Vlad beats povetkin, It cannot be said that everyone is a bum. If he beats the other tall Ukranian and Boytsof , it cannot be said that he beats bums. If he beats Haye it cannot be said that he beats bums. The haters or doubters will just have to get over it or we will just ignore you. You will look very stupid. Like Teddy Atlas. The USA couldn't even get a heavyweight into the Olympics.
