    Haha maybe one day lmao

Yeah i'm obsessed with heavyweight history so I love doing things like this.

Working backwards i've just done tyson. It's taking a while because i'm having to check for guys who slipped in the monthly ratings for example jesse ferguson etc.

I'll post the results I get up to when I have to leave then i'll finish it off tomorrow hopefully.

Things like this get me well psyched for boxing which is great considering the amount of fights this saturday! Plus i've finally entered the top 100 on fightnight so everything boxing related is going good atm haha

ok, I've done down until Patterson. Where possibly I've included guys who entered the monthly rankings. The number in brackets after the resume is how many opponents they faced who were in the top 10 at some point during their careers. It's surprising how good Wlad does in all of this. Just looking at Al;i's top 10 resume also, it's phenomenal. I've not done Louis yet, I'll finish the list off when I get back from playing (hopefully winning) poker.

I've almost finished now. Getting into the earlier champs i've included notable contenders before the ring started, mainly with the use of Matt D's rankings plus anything I can dig up myself, but I've clearly highlighted these guys.

final results will be up shortly, just finishing Schmelling and Sharkey off now.

I still feel that Tyson deserves his wins against Norris & Golota...

I was very tempted to include them as well, maybe a side note should be placed?

I mean at the end of the day, they aren't actual wins although them performance did lead to his still high ranking

    dunno?

Well they are not officially "wins" according to the commision, but...

The Golota fight was a TKO2 when Golota quit with a broken cheekbone, why should Tyson lose his stoppage victory just because he smoked a bit of weed? :huh

Tyson was clearly beating Norris, then accidently KO'd with him a punch on the bell. Even Holyfield defended Tyson, saying it's very hard to hear a quiet bell in a loud stadium of screaming fans. Plus Norris cowardly faked a knee injury like a scared little *****.

I would include both as wins, with a side note.

well decisions like that are above my paygrade :verysad:verysad

we can't rewrite history, ofcourse whe considering atg rankings we can go off performance so I do take them into account. which is why i've recently moved tyson above frazier.

but for the purpose of this, i was just going win-lose-draw. if you wanna go through and look for nc's as well be my guest :good

Somehow I missed this.. great work Lufcrazy! I think it's worth making a new thread about it, many people will miss it this way. :good

I remember when OLD FOGEY started this thread back in 2007... I'm starting to feel old.

Some of those starts are surprising.. Ali's 34-5 and Louis' 44-3 are sick. Goes to show why they're a lock for the top2, followed by the rest.

Johnson, Jeffries and Fitz, using this system would be very, very interesting. As would Langford, Wills, McVey and Jeanette.
