Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury could lose boxing license for drug use

Lmao... well you can change the antidoping substance list when you are the chief of WADA yea ok?

 

$40,000 fne is enough, nothing more.

 

He only has to blame himself and his own team for this. They said he's been having episodes of depression for years, obviously his team and family did not get him professional help.

In fact, driven by greedy, they might have turned a blind eye to health issues and pushed him deeper into the spotlight of competitive boxing where he doesn't belong.

Plenty of fighters have tested positive for coke in the past and weren't shut out of the sport.

I understand stripping the titles and a suspension but taking his licence is going too far.

 

The rules say you may NOT use certain recreational drugs including cocaine during training for an upcoming fight. Use of drugs AFTER contest, e.g. to celebrate, is OK. Rules are rules, not "nonsense".

 

Yes there is a precedent. The BBBofC revoked Hatton's license after after cocaine allegations in 2010. He of course did have his license reinstated a couple of years later for his ill fated comeback.

Fact is if you bring the sport into disrepute like Fury clearly has by suggesting using cocaine is fine then the BBBofC can suspend or even revoke licenses.

So even if Fury can dodge the bullets of not being stripped of his titles and the doping charges he now has the chance of having his license revoked which would likely see his titles stripped from him.

 

If they want a reason to take his licence away, there's enough to pick from. He says he has a mental disorder, that could be ground already. He recently refused a drug test and was rude against them.... clear option for them to revoke his license.
The cocaine... if they can back it up with their rules in any way.

Thing is, he can always get a Irish licence, or what about a Luxembourg one.

The suspension hanging over his head due to UKAD is a much bigger hurdle for Fury to overcome in my opinion

UKAD came to his house for a random drug test. he refused and litterally told them to F_CK OFF!
That was after he already got the notion that he got busted for cocaine by VADA.

 

He claims he hasn't trained for 4 months but just a week ago he was training there were pictures from team Fury

 

Who is trying to "kill him off"?

 

No doubt the furys will cry about "racism" and a "witch hunt" If he loses his license to box. The irony being that is was him and his team who announced that he was medically unfit to box and therefore medically unfit to hold a license.
