One of my favorite memories was when Bowe knocked him down, and he got up and jumped around all boisterously only for Bowe to knock him out. When Bowe was talking about the moment after, he said, "That didn't impress me at all."

I don't know why but I still laugh about it when I think of it.

Smoking Joe got royally smoked in the very 1st round. Lesser men would have said "Good night Kingston", but somehow Joe got up time after time and made it to the 2nd round, when the referee mercifully stopped the fight.

 

Buster Douglas was stopped in the 1st round by Lou Savarese

 

I just can't count that one besides on paper. No one I knew in boxing circles when that happened considered that a legitimate win, and Weaver got robbed again in the rematch.
