Nikolai Valuev may have been the tallest and heaviest man to win a world heavyweight title but he certainly didn’t punch his weight. You could even argue that pound for pound he may well have been one of the weakest punching heavyweight titlists ever.

Really? Every day grown men argue back and forth about hypothetical matchups on this forum and they banned for going to far. I'm simply saying that guys that fought at the highest level of the sport are not ****ing bums. It's to easy to type that **** from behind a keyboard.

You guys do what you want but I am going to call it for what it is.

Yes, no, no, no, If you do not think they are bums do not call them as such most of these people have fought since they were children the least we can do is respect them they are the foundation of the sport we love have some humility. in my eyes It only paints you as a jerk im 99% sure most of the men you disregard would take your chin so looking down at them from a internet forum is a fine show of character.

Actually, Ellis decked Oscar 3 times...but only 2 were called. After that second kd in the 10th, Ellis followed up on Ringo and Oscar's knee met the canvas clearly...technically, that's a knockdown.

    Come on guys.

Is Michael Spinks worth a mention? He certainly should be mentioend before a Vitali. It was a woeful version of Cooney and he was a bit chinny anyway. Spinks hit him with myriads of flush power punches in a very short space of time and he was still coherent and on his feet.

Primo Carnera maybe Tubbs, Dokes, Ernie Terrell? Depends on whether you consider them Champions.
