It was for the EBU but London v Ingo's the big one. London got the KO but there were less then 10 seconds less so he lost the fight via shutout.

 

Though it goes back to the dusty past and doesn’t necessarily jump to mind, I guess Jeffries KO of Corbett in the 23rd round of a 25 rounder sufficiently qualifies for this discussion.

 

Come-from-behind is the best way to go for the most drama, fun and panache.

I made a research on the bout and in my opinion Jeffries was ahead on points at the moment of the stoppage.

For roughly the first half of the bout, Corbett was outboxing Jeffries and appeared to be in control. However, somewhere around the 15th round, the tide began to turn. From that point on, Jeffries took command, won every remaining round, and steadily wore Corbett down.

By the time Jeffries scored the knockout in the 23rd round, he had already erased Corbett's early lead and was ahead on points. It wasn't just a dramatic comeback but it was a complete reversal of the fight, with Jeffries dominating the closing rounds before finishing the job.

 

That’s a fair opinion but I wouldn’t say that it was necessarily consensus.

Some had Corbett ahead as at the time of the KO and felt that if he had stayed on his feet until the end he would’ve received the decision.

Others again believed that it was an even fight at the time of the KO. Certainly Jeffries corner urged him to pursue the KO in order to circumvent any doubt that might’ve existed had the match gone to a decision.

I believe Ryan was booted from Jeffries’ corner after the 19th round, replaced by Brady, after which time Jeff began to seriously claw back the deficit.
