Can someone explain to me why it is people seem to be so anti haye/arreola vs either klitschko brothers? Firstly with the possible exception of them taking on valvuev in a unification fight, which would suck to watch imo, i cant think of any other heavyweights who have 1) not been beaten by the klitsckhos or 2) deserve a title fight more than haye/arreola ( a wlad peter rematch would be interesting imo, but peter needs to at least have another fight even if against a bum, before he challenges again) also, in most other divisions im always reading people moaning how fighters are avoiding contenders and going for easy money/ easy fights, yet all 4 fighters are willing to go up against hard hitting live opponents, more than can be said for cotto/jennings or pavlik/rubio (and also will not be on ppv to watch)
I think people are simply realistic.. Im British and would love to get behind him.. but I think he'll get KO'd by either of the Klits.
i see where you are coming from but i would prefer to see hm ko'd than to watch another hw come along to be jabbed for a few round until they think they have done enough for their paycheck and then quit or wait it out to the final bell ala rahman or Ibragimov
You're joking, right? The Rahman and Sultan performances were true boxing masterclasses and we should have felt privileged to witness them. At least that's what I kept reading on here after the event anyway :nut
Chagaev would have a better deserved chance at them but it's probably because most people think Haye and Arreola don't stand a chance(which for Arreola is true).
For me, it's the ridiculous hype surrounding Haye, and his own arrogant attitude. The guy just came into the division and people are hyping him like crazy. He's had exactly two HW fights, one against a tomato can and one against a washed-up fringe contender - and based on this some are saying he'll beat both Klits!! This when he had trouble taking the punches of old cruisers and supermiddles!! atsch It's ridiculous.
It's fair enough to say that about Hayes competition at heavyweight but as I already mentioned there was the usual huge group wanking session on here after WALDO beat Rahman. If Rahman is an acceptable opponent then so is David Haye. I seem to remember you saying that Rahman had a **** chin too before that fight, and that WALDO would KO him easily. Never happened did it? I'm not knocking you for that prediction by the way, I thought exactly the same. Haye will not come into the ring just trying to survive, he'll go for Klitschko from the off, so win lose or draw at least it'll be watchable.
