Heavyweight contenders must face each other

I think the only REALLY deserving contender out there at this point is Eddie Chambers. He beat Calvin Brock, Dominick Guinn, then lost a close one to Povetkin, and bounced back by beating Samuel Peter and Alexander Dimitrenko since. Definitely deserving of a title-shot, which he hopefully will get in march.

As for Povetkin, he was on the right way beating Larry Donald, Chris Byrd and Eddie Chambers, but I feel he has taken the soft route since. He should have taken his title-shot back in 2008, he's lost his momentum now.

If we consider Haye to be a contender, then yes, he's deserving of a shot at a Klitschko, but since he chooses to defend his belt against the likes of Ruiz and Kali Meehan instead, we can take him out of the picture.

 

Sam Peter and Tomasz Adamek are the only relevant contenders you mentioned. Arreola, Solis, and Tua, do not deserve to be mentioned for a title shot until they earn it.

 

If all these guys fought one or two others, who would be fighting the Klitschko's in the meantime?

 

I must have missed all of Haye's joke voluntary defences. Oh wait, he only won the belt a few weeks ago!? So, what on Earth are you talking about? :?

 

Ruiz is a mandatory who he has to fight as part of the deal that got him a shot in the first place, and you have no idea who he is 'likely' to face after that.
