Mouth-watering! But with the politics of the early 90's they would be a strong chance of them not happening.

Out of interest did you vote on the poll?

Some very good men there. I'm surprised this is the 30's only mention.
Admittedly i'm a bit ignorant of this era too.

I see you and I, Luf, are the only ones that gave the '30's a vote. A very entertaining era with a bunch of hungry fighters.

I would have to add that there were two Baers. Buddy was pretty good.

And I have to put one of my all time favourites in. I like to watch Tony Galento videos. He was entertaining and a hell of a fighter IMO. And who hasn't at least heard of Two Ton Tony? Plus, he gets my vote as the UOAT (Ugliest Of All Time).

I also voted for the '50 simply because I love watching those old '50s videos of Marciano et al. May not have been the greatest boxers of all time, but they gave it all they had.

I guess it's too early to place our votes for the 2000+ decade?

Exactly! I think the 90's tapered off a bit after Holy beat Tyson. Bowe retired after Golota, Golota get demolished by Lewis, Holyfield beat Moorer than played the waiting game to face Lewis...all the greats of the decade had weeded each other out.

A few matches that should have happened:

    Tyson-Foreman
    Tyson-Bowe
    Tyson-Morrison
    Holyfield-Ruddock
    Bowe-Lewis
    Bowe-Ruddock
    Bowe-Mercer
    Holmes-Foreman

Edit: I too believe the 80's were very underrated. So much talent.

i would put 90s up top personally. 70s of course being 'golden era' with many side stories to go along with boxing itself. however i enjoy 90s variety and specific fights in particular (even if Tyson is put aside).

80s were ok.. not as exciting to watch through for me though.

this coming from someone who was not alive in these old eras, and i base opinions more on video i see rather than words passed down.

The 70's are 4th best by my estimation.
