Heavyweight disgraces - Malik Scott, Deontay Wilder, Denis Boytsov

wait, the guys you mentioned dont step in the ring? what are you talking about? kevin johnson most definitely steps in the ring, that's for sure, after hyping up the way he'll damage his opponents and then surviving to a decision with a pathetically low punch output and laughing all the way to the bank. he's a disgrace.

 

yeah, Boytsov? forget it and Scott? 12 years? forget him too. Wilder is still ok. Maybe let him fight Scott so we don't have to face this question again.

 

Who has Kevin Johnson ever beaten that meant people rated him? An old as hell Bruce Seldon? 17-0 Devin Vargas who had a padded record and turned out to be nothing? Alex Leapai now?

He basically gets credit for going in and surviving 12 with Vitali, suddenly he's a world-class heavy (oxymoron I know). He's doing nothing more than Wilder, Scott or Boystov have himself but get in the ring with a couple of big names, barely throw a punch and just try to make the final bell. I don't give him a great deal of credit for that, personally.

 

TommyV it is good to see you back.:good I agree with your take on Boytsov glad you also acknowledge Bydenko who is good fighter and much, much better than anything on Scotts, Wilder's record.

 

Bowie Tupou is no worse than Bydenko. Scott schooled Tupou before stopping him.

Scott's next fight will be a big one. Watch this space. :good

 

better to not get in the ring with good fighters at all then to dupe paying fans into thinking you're going to try and win and subsequently do absolutely nothing for twelve rounds and walk away with their hard earned money. there's no way a fan can defend KJ. he's a disgrace like I said.

 

Malik Scott and Boytsov for sure but Wilder just had a step up fight.

He's still learning. Give him time. If he fights contenders and gets KO'd you guys will say "he rushed."

 

boystov has been a huge disappointment. the only one still improving is wilder, but he will get crushed by Wlad. that slob he fought last weekend was downright embarrassing. the guy couldn't even fight..kelvin price...god that was a friggin joke.

 

I don't know, but that's not why he was out. He was working as a sparring partner and he had a pretty bad injury (arm?) that took awhile to heal.

 

Tupou broke something and quit. It wasn't a true stoppage.

I saw an interview with him before he fought Fury and he was talking about it being the greatest heavyweight fight ever, and the heavyweight version of Gatti versus Ward....

 

, that kind of talk coupled with the way he subsequently goes out and conducts his business in the ring is why I call him a disgrace and why I do not understand how that guy elvis can defend him on any level outside of the fact that he steps in the ring, which is a given.
