    1. 90s: always thought that the average level of the contenders of the 90s were better than that of the 70s.
    2. 70s: no need for explanation
    3. 2020s: still pretty early on in the decade but the top 10-15 hasn't been this strong for a good while imo.
    4. 2010s: more specifically the second half of the 2010s after Klitschko had been dethroned by Fury. Following Klitschko's defeats the division would soon come back to life with Wilder and Joshua becoming champs and guys like Whyte, Parker, Ruiz, Ortiz and some others becoming recognised as top contenders.
    5. 60s: Solid era consisting of great fighters like Liston, Patterson, Ali, Frazier, Terrell, Quarry and Ellis.
    6. 80s: The era of wasted potential imo. Obvious standouts are Holmes and Tyson. Era could've been top 3 had the fighters stayed consistent and not done so much coke.
    7. 30s: decent era.
    8. 50s: meh era. Both the Marciano and Patterson era's were not great, but had some good contenders in them.
    9. 40s: not great.
    10. 2000s: poor

    1. C fighters aren't bums.

    2. C fighters don't make it to number 2 contenders. Their is no universe where he can be considered a C fighter in his era. He was a level below the champs Patterson, Ali, and Liston. And fought on even terms with the next best fighters of that era, Terrell, and Machen.

I generally wouldn’t call him a bum. No fivhter imo is a bum. U step in there ur a warrior. If I was angry and actually used the word bum it’s not a usual thing for me (I’m sure I’ve done it). But I stand by it he’s a C fighter. That’s not an insult. But he was no killer. Can’t make everyone a B or A how would u grade people who were more successful but not as much as champs? He’s a C and that’s ok.

As are the champions; Patterson, Liston, Ali
Bs are the top contenders; Williams, Machen, and Terrell whom he fought on even terms and could very well have been 3-0 against. You could also put Folley in here though his KO losses to less than stellar competition bring him down a bit imo.
Cs are probably the fringe guys: Dejohn, Chuvalo, Miteff, Cleroux, Jones, Daniels, etc.
