If Povetkin has defense issues, then Peter never even heard such a term. After the fight on Sat. I will comfortably go with Povetkin by either UD or even Tko, if this fight happened tomorrow.
What exactly is everybody looking for in Povetkin that they obviously, as I pointed out weeks ago, weren't going to get from Peter? If everyone's looking for the next big heavyweight.. we pretty much got him in Klitschko. But if you don't like Klitschko and you're just looking for someone to potentially beat him, then you're going to have to look a lot harder than Povetkin.
Give him time! I usually don't care much for Byrd fights, but I can't wait to see how Povetkin performs against him.
If Ibragimov and Chagaev would have fought, with the winner facing Wlad, things wouldn´t be as bad as they are now. I think it´s kind of unfair to throw Povetkin in there with Wlad after only two more fights. Why not let him take on one of the lesser champions?
Both Solis and Povetkin are on the fast track. Both fighters have been matched incredibly toughly so far,and both fighters have passed their tests with flying colours so far. The heavy weight division strongly needs fresh faces.I am so fed up with news about Rahman getting a new shot at a world title or Ruiz fighting another eliminator or............. .or................... . I for my part would love to see names like Gomez,Virchis,or Bidenko mentioned when people talk about title challengers instead of the Rahmans,Ruiz, and Hollyfields. Old geezers like Hollyfield who can hardly beat any decent journeyman nowadays gets another title shot whereas Virchis will fight another unknown name. And I guess lots of people here wont fail to praise Sultan for his victory over that old geezer.Damn! Makes my blood boil when I come to think about it.Sultan is for sure the weakest champ out there, and I for my part would bet my money on Gomez,Virchis, and Bidenko if they got a shot at Sultan instead of that old zombie Hollyfield.
