In boxing, lower weight guys are seperated by 5 to 10 lbs to make things more fair.. but the heavyweight division, you gotta fight guys over 30 or even 100 lbs more than you, with insane reach advantage for the taller fighter. It is tolerable in boxing since it's pure standup fight, so the smaller guy can dance around. But in MMA, weight can be a huge factor. When I watch Fedor take on Schilt or Hong Man Choi, it just seems rediculous that these guys tower over him like a man over a child. Just look at how Hong Man Choi took Fedor down, he just lean over him. If these big guys have more talent, they would be too much for the little heavyweights to handle. I just don't think it fair. At the same time, the heavyweight champion deserve alot of respect.

I think 205-265 is a decent weight division. With its own advantages and disadvantages for higher or lower weights. Considering that a guy like Sylvia can lose 5-10 pounds just goin #1 + #2 i think its fair.
