No, Today's fighters post Lewis are pathetic, most of em can't even go 3 rds before they start breathing hard, the fact that Rahman, Peter, Maskiev, Toney and Briggs have recently been players is all the proof we need, all except Peter were old but can compete in todays division where anyone can win. Haye will do a lot of damage, wait and see.

Boxing is more than the HW division you know. One division can't ruin an entire sport. Also , the arguement of "a division full of B level fighters" is better than a "full of C level" (that tyson used to love to beat on to make a name for himself)...

Another little detail...ALL eras had tons of B level fighters. Shavers is a classic example , Quarry is another..One of the most overrated one of them all (who passes for a super champ) is Riddick Bowe. (you know...that guy who used to get ridiculed by the mental midget known as Andrew Golota , unfortunately , if it wasn't for Golota's mental instability , he would've won both fights...and still , that wouldn't prove much anyway since Bowe was ultra overrated to begin with..)

But all the criticism works for today's era because...stylistically...it's true...They tend to be boring... and most of all....None of them are american. So the pill is harder to swallow.

    I disagree.

I don'tthink this is even the weakest time in heavyweight history. These big heavyweights of today would own many champions of the past.

honestly your fighter loses and it' s worse then you though??. please it is what it is. A Few people were dupped by Peter and you were one of them it doesn't change anything, most people knew where Peter really stood anyhow.

You were all over Sam Peter's nuts, in every single god damn post. You claimed Peter would beat any current HW? Right! You should of thought before you post, that fight was too ****ing easy.

I'm a Sam Peter fan, that is correct, and I always said only Wlad I would favor over him currently, but with Wlad's glass chin it makes the fight interesting.

Peter lost, who hasnt, at his losses are against top fighters, Wlad's are all against journeymen.

Exactly most people would agree that the whole 80's was a bad decade and that's when Tyson was making noise in the mid to late 80's demolishing cans and making himself almost bigger then he really was untill he faced better comp like Holyfield. not to take anything from Mike he did as much for boxing as did Ali but the guys he fought wern't the same as Lewis, bowe,Holy, etc. and he was never the same after 1990 anyhow.

I wasnt dupped, one bad night doesnt make someones entire career, look at Frazier, he got his ass handed to him by Foreman twice, in even worse fashion, yet he's still considered a great. Sam Peter will comeback and probably win another belt down the rode, he's only 28, give him another couple years.

They're not worse or better. The names you are mentioning aren't proving anything. For several reasons.
1 - Rahman the "oh so shitty" Rahman , once Koed Lennox Lewis.
    (whatever he's worth..it happened)

Toney is not a "player" in the division since
1 , he got ridiculed in his rematch against Peter
    2 his record (has a HW) = 4 wins 2 NC 1 DRAW & 2 Losses.

3 Maskaev (whatever he's worth...finished rahman twice , something Lennox couldn't , also by mentioning Maskaev you're confirming my other point....I don't see why a past prime Maskaev is more embarrassing than..having a past prime , 45 yr old Foreman Ko Moorer in the 90's).

Same **** , different era...(whtever the circumstances , it happened)

Vitali quit in a fight, some of the greatest fighters quit in there corners. Peter just needs to drop his new team and get with people that will help improve his craft. He's still young, and the division is still bad, there's no reason for him to retire, he will have the belt back in under 2 years, Don King will pull some strings and make it happen.

I think there's a lot of hypocrisy in general...for instance when you read some of Punisher33's comments...and then when you actually take a close look at his avatar (showing Wlad on his ass...) it clearly indicates the set of mind of the individual...

After seeing Peter getting such a one sided beatdown...It just crushes you. I think i can honestly relate , i know i would be pissed if that type of **** would happen to let's say...Kid Yamamoto (mma fighter)...I would be ultra pissed and disappointed.

that's contingent if the klitschkos don't collect all the belts. 1 is still hanging out there. i still think he can beat everyone else out there but u can only take so many beatings. we will have to see if he can recover or not.

the klitschos know how to use their feet and length. that's the difference. and they are both murderous punchers.

no one else like that exists in the division.

It was a sad loss Boxingcar, no doubt. I think Sam Peter will be back and gain another title opportunity within the next 2 years, but I will never look at him the say way I did. I would of rather had him get knocked out, throwing a wild haymaker, than him quiting on his stool like that. I will still defend the guy, but at least before I had more conviction in my posts.
