Brewster was getting owned in the first fight with Wlad and was a total mismatch...it was the baby bro's fight to lose...and he ran out of gas, so he lost...It wasn't anything brewster did...oh, except eat a lot of punches.

Corrie Sanders is 6'4" and has a very good reach...he doesn't apply to this argument.

I agree that size can be controlled if you know what you're doing...but this is just too much of a size disparity.

6 and 7 inch size difference? Way too much!!

Brewster only won the first fight with Wladimir because Wladimir was drugged.

Truth is we have no idea what really happened...I truly believe there could have been foul play, but in here you can't mention that and expect to be taken seriously...it's like arguing with an atheist and reciting scripture in your discussion...they just shut down and ignore you!!

People will look back at the Klitschko bros the same way we look at Marvelous Marvin Hagler...he had no competition when he dominated the middleweights...does that make him a lesser fighter? Absolutely not!!

No offense but the fact that there is 2 of them doesnt make it any better. Its bad enough that the top 10 is ****. But now we will never have a true #1 since both Wladdy and Vitali will never fight each other.

And at the end of the day, dont we want the 2 best fighters of the division fighting each other?

The heavyweight division is still my favorite division followed by the cruiserweight division. I don't mind the Eastern European invasion. I only wonder how champs of yesteryear would handle such well-schooled fighters like these guys.

It's hard to imagine because of the height difference...look how a crude puncher like George Foreman dominated the Heavyweight division in the early 70's. Imagine fighters bigger, faster, and more skilled fighting those same fights...scary!!

Still Brewster made through it and he wasn't doing nothing, he was throwing and landing body punches which had an affect. Sanders was also shorter than Wladimir and looked smaller in there so he does apply in this discussion and we saw what happened there.

Too much difference or not there's still a way to fight through it despite the difference, it can be more difficult of course but that's how the game is and it's not impossible to fight through them successfully as proven already.

I agree that it's not impossible...that is not my argument. My argument is a rebuttal to the question of why there is so much disparity in the heavyweight division?

With the comments that you've made, how do you feel about the upcoming De La Hoya/pacman fight?

I think the problem as silly as it sounds is the Klitschko's are too good for their own good. Its like they are so dominate it draws fans (usually Americans) away from the division or sport altogether, not only that but a lot of fans aren't particularly thrilled about their style of boxing which is jab jab move jab etc. (me myself I actually like seeing them fight) add that to the fact that most Americans realize its more money to be had being a NBA or NFL star, and the future does not look good for American boxing. Another key issue is they Klistschko's are very humble and carry themselves well most American fans want to see trash talking (ala Tyson in which boxing fans might have gotten spoiled).

What will probably need to happen is both of them will retire eventually and maybe some American talent comes on the scene (we seen this recently with Brock), which will result to the American/s not to exposed by the Klistschkos (again they are just too good and we are assuming they are both retired) and the media will jump on it for the simple fact that they are American and flaws will be covered because the Klistschko brothers are gone. It is the only way I can think of for that division to be talked about atleast for the American public.

The problem with boxing in America is that the liberal media in this country thinks that Boxing is too brutal and barbaric for mainstream media. They don't understand boxing and they refuse to try.

Wow this guy is such a bitter racist. Guess he only likes boxing now because white fighters are in the driver's seat.
