Say the boxing fairy who appeared once every hundred years to a single fight fan and could grant your wish of a fantasy fight. But you only had these options and only 1 to choose from and you could be present ringside and it would be on live television, which would you choose. All are fighters in their prime: Mike Tyson vs George Foreman Evander Holyfield vs Sonny Liston Muhammad Ali vs Rocky Marciano Joe Louis vs George Foreman Joe Louis vs Mike Tyson Sonny Liston vs Ray Mercer or Riddick Bowe Larry Holmes vs Joe Fraizer Lennox Lewis vs one of the Klitchsko brothers And finally Muhammad Ali vs Larry Holmes You only get 1 and you get to decide for all boxing fans.
Blimey that's a tough one. Only choosing one... Mmm. Think I'll go for ALI V MARCIANO. What ever people think the result may have been its two massive legend s together. And not having tomato sauce thrown on them like the computer fight!
It's got to be Joe Louis. All the fights that I've seen of his had been in average quality black and white film. Just imagine seeing a young prime Louis on today's 4K UHD quality TV's. Throw in a fight against a seemingly unstoppable Mike Tyson from 1988 and I don't think you can get any better than that.
I was thinking the same thing. Louis would've definitely looked more impressive on modern HD t.v.. Louis vs Carnera would have looked spectacular. A Klitchsko sized fighter being floored by a more or less 200 lbs with a single counter right hand in HD? Definitely would look impressive.
Very tough list to choose from. -Louis wont get past either man, so no. -Everything Holyfield does is worth seeing. -Holmes/Frazier - Holmes would get wrecked and I admit I would love to see it. -Lennox vs the brothers needed to happen and LL would end worse for it. -Liston vs Bowe/Mercer, would be interesting but not legendary. I gotta go with the pack. Marciano....man, to see him in action against Ali. Great fight and could not pick a winner. SO this would have to be the one to see. Mariano /Ali it is.
