I have to disagree on Foreman vs Holmes. I think Holmes was too skilled and too durable to get stopped by equally old Foreman, who hadn't stopped anybody since 1994. I can see, however, Foreman winning this fight on ponts by controversial decision, although Holmes win is the most likely scenario in my opinion.

You might be right on Tyson vs Mercer though. Tyson looked awful against Brian Nielsen who was old and very, very fat, and who even in his prime years was outboxed by 47-years-old Larry Holmes. Old Mercer was far superior to old Nielsen in everything - skills, chin, power, stamina and even speed. I can't see Tyson stopping Mercer, but I can see Mercer stopping exhausted Tyson late in the fight. Lennox knew this bout could kill his fight with Tyson once and for all. Yeah, Mercer's win was very likely scenario

I don't think the Holmes could take the punches from Foreman. Foreman's power was fading at that point but Holmes was 49 so I don't think his body would have been able to withstand the punches from Foreman at that point. If this fight had happened in 1993 or 1994 I'd pick Holmes.

1) Ray Mercer vs Frank Bruno - October 22, 1994. Good fight, either Mercer late KO of Bruno UD imo

2) Hebrie Hide vs Tommy Morrison - October 22, 1994. Probably Morrison KO but both had power and were chinny

3) Ray Mercer vs Andrew Golota - August 16, 1997. lean towards Golota UD but you never know if either can be relied on

4) Evander Holyfield vs Henry Akinwande - May 28, 1998. Akinwande might actually outbox Holyfield here. Stylistically a tall rangy guy whos as fast and defensively sound as Akinwande is probably a really bad match up. Akinwande is a better version of Ruiz who gave Holyfield all kinds of problems

5) George Foreman vs Larry Holmes - January 23, 1999. Holmes widish UD

6) Hasim Rahman vs Zjelko Mavrovic - Novermber 6, 1999. Reason: Hard to know how good Mavrovic was, very tough guy

7) Vitali Klitschko vs Donovan Ruddock - April 1, 2000. Vitali probably wins Ruddock was well past prime by this time

8) Mike Tyson vs David Izon - June 2, 2001. They picked Izon because they knew it was an easy win

9) Wladimir Klitschko vs David Izon - see above

10) Mike Tyson vs Ray Mercer - January 19, 2002. Both past prime, Tyson was better and should win

11) Corrie Sanders vs Nikolay Valuev - hard to say. Sanders is better for a few rounds but over more rounds Valeuv may have the advantage.

OK, my opinion:

1) Ray Mercer vs Frank Bruno - Mercer by late KO/TKO. Bruno would probably outbox him early, but would be caught and stopped like always

2) Hebrie Hide vs Tommy Morrison - Hide by mid-round KO. Both had excellent power and suspect chins (to say at least), but Hide was quicker and Morrison was past his prime

3) Ray Mercer vs Andrew Golota - this one is really tough. Golota would probably lead in the first half of the fight but would finally find the way to lose it either by stoppage or DQ

4) Evander Holyfield vs Henry Akinwande - Holyfield by relatively close UD in awfully boring fight. Akinwande would be fighting scared like he always was. He would spoil the fight badly. And Holyfield was past his prime then, he wasn't fast enough to catch scared Henry and knock him out

5) George Foreman vs Larry Holmes - Holmes by UD in surprisingly good fight

6) Hasim Rahman vs Zjelko Mavrovic - Rahman by close UD

7) Vitali Klitschko vs Donovan Ruddock - Vitali by early KO. Ruddock was awfully shot then. He wasn't that old, but he was shot. Just watch his fight against Harold Sconiers

8) Mike Tyson vs David Izon - Tyson by early KO. Izon was overrated prior to his TKO loss to Fres Oquendo. Plus, after that he lost another 2 fights in a row which shows us he was on decline. Tyson was close to being shot in 2001 and looked awful against fat, old Brian Nielsen, but I still think he had enough skills to land early something big on Izon's chin. If Darroll Wilson and Terence Lewis did it, I think Tyson would definitely do it too, but Izon won't survive like he did against Lewis and Wilson

9) Wladimir Klitschko vs David Izon - Pre-Sanders version of Wlad was much more aggressive, so I think he would stop Izon in 3-4 rounds

10) Mike Tyson vs Ray Mercer - tough fight to call. Both were shot. If anybody was going to get a stoppage win here, it would be Mercer, because Tyson's stamina was non-existant at that time. But most likely the fight would go the distance and Tyson would win by close and probably controversial decision

11) Corrie Sanders vs Nikolay Valuev - Sanders by first-round KO. Valuev and Sanders actually sparred each other and Valuev told to Russian press that never ever before or since that sparring he was hit as hard as he was hit by Corrie Sanders
