You'd have to ask Wilder's handlers. I still can't believe they forced him to walk away from 120m, and cut DiBella loose for organising it.

I mean, there is obviously more to it than that, on both sides, but I don't think anyone wants to relitigate several years of back and forth arguments.

There's been some good fights but I wouldn't say this is a great era tbh. Only wilder/fury Joshua/usyk and Joshua/Ruiz have been truly significant matches and the Ruiz one was unintentional.

It feels like the early 80s era if fights took 3 times as long to make, half the fights didn't materialize, and Larry Holmes had had a breakdown and vacated before returning to recapture a claim to the title from Mike weaver.
