Why was Foremans jab so good? Guys were moving away from him and he still bounced the jab off their head. He herded guys around the ring like sheep using his jab.
Sometimes it was even too good , like when he blew Holyfield back too far and out of range for the oncoming right hand.

Wlads jab was one-note and basic. It couldn't land on movers or when guys had head or upper body movement. , he wasn't able to jab going forward or backwards and it was ineffective to pressure which is why he held on and bear boxed so much.

Just think of what Foreman would do to the likes of Sam Peter or David Haye with his jab. He wouldn't even need a right hand or uppercut to flat line the likes of Leapai or Pianeta!

 

He controlled the division for an entire decade of that jab, at that time that was something 8% of the existence of the heavyweight division under MDQ rules. Well...Larry actually knocked down Ocasio with a bare left jab. You don't see that happening much with George, though the bigger man did have an amazing jab!
