Well he shouldn't be on there in the scheme of things, but his career took a big leap. Like it or not, he kicked your man's arse.
Gotta be Haye for me. Only one fight but that fight was beating Valuev and becoming a heavyweight champion. When we look back at Heavyweight fights of 2009 what will stick out more, Vitali beating 3 alright heavies or Haye beating the giant to become a heavyweight champ? Haye made the headlines this year.
Vitali Klitschko ( wins over Arreola, Johnson and Gomez) or Eddie Chambers ( wins over Peter and Dimitrenko) Fighting once in a year is not enough for Haye and Wladimir Odliander Solis deserves a mention too for his 3 ko wins
Haye for finally becomeing a 2 division champion (well 1 division champ and 1 division title holder).
I guess it's Haye. His lone win over Valuev is better than anything else any other heavy has done. Which is not really saying much. I gotta give Vitali some credit for fighting 3 times, but his opponents were complete garbage; and yes, I thought they were garbage BEFORE he fought them too. Actually, no, I had some hope that Kingpin could be merely sucky, but then during the fight we realized he was indeed worthless.
Newflash, Jenny from the Block, Valuev is and was garbage too. The man got beat up by the zombie that used to be Evander Holyfield. If that impresses you and you're a female...How about dinner at Macdonalds?
