    but chambers won't go down.

If Haye steps it up, he has the best chance to go down

Roman Greenburg, if he ever takes a tough fight. Boy is he average.

Haye is probably the best prospect around along with Povetkin.

but does anyone actually consider Greenberg a real prospect? I sure don't.

    Peters has already been exposed.
I fear for Haye at heavy, partly because he's too confident for his own good and seems to be seeking the 240lb+ punchers already!

That's just the way he is. He doesn't take fights against the Kendrick Relefords or the Zura Lawrences of this world. He goes straight for the dangerous fighters, as he did in the Cruiserweight division. Okay he come unstuck against Thompson, but he was not scared about taking a loss. He may well lose in 2008, but he will not be humiliated.

Haye will claim one of the world titles.

hope so, his attitude is great and very refreshing, considering so many fighters look to take the path of least resistance.

Haye is the best prospect of them all. Don't forget, the heavyweight division is at a all time low talent wise. How else could Shannon Briggs win a belt? There are no scary, ferocious punchers out there right now to cause Haye any worry. I'm not sold on Povetkin , Arreola, or Chambers yet, for all I know they're just as bad as the current crop of "contenders". But Haye has the power and drive to rise above the rest, and possibly raise the bar so bums like Liakovich are sent back to Minsk to become nightclub bouncers.

solis will have 5 or so fights in 2008 against bums building his record.

povetkin is likely to get beaten in 2008 by chambers or ko'd by david haye if they meet.

Dimitrenko. He has a very tough time against a limited Hoffmann, who was so inferior in skill, but made it competitve only through will. I believe Dimitrenko lacks the spirit of a champion and has entitlement issues because he is talented. I doubt that he can learn and improve the way Wlad could when he was confronted with his weaknesses.

if povetkin faces wlad in 08 then he'll fall. but aside from that, i think eddie chambers will definately get beaten. and while he probably wont be dropped, he will get roughed up a bit since he seems lazy now he's stepped up in competition. see the quinn fight to see where this prospect is currently at, motivation wise.

sure, eddie said he let the fans down (in a fight he almost lost), and promises to step up his game, but i seriously doubt it. oh, he might train a little harder. but if he trained too hard he will accidently become a crusierweight lol.

aside from that i think a lot of these prospects will ultimately lose to guys like wladimir and chagaev BUT it wont be 2008.

there's simply not enough time in next year for any of them to get a title shot. povetkin might get his shot but that's about the only one i can think of.
