...via KO2 against Georgian Mamuka Jikurashvili. He sent him 3 times to the canvas with shots to the body - the 3rd time th Georgian couldn't beat the count... Next stop: May 17, USA...
Solis is not a very big guy. I have a friend who has trained with him and hung out with him a bit and knows he can drop 40 pounds easy, probably even make CW limit. I want to think he is a big talent, as I love the heavyweight division, but I feel his love for food my be bigger than he desire to succeed in the ring. It's hard for a lot of the Cuban fighters to remain focused after they aren't being "watched" all of the time, anymore. I honestly wish him the best, but would like to see him drop a serious amount of weight.
He is a fat ****. I know that boxing is a dangerous sport, and we should always respect the fighters, but I cannot stand watching these guys throw their careers away and endanger there well being by coming in fat. If you are not going to treat your training like a job and punch a clock every day, then you are not going anywhere. Solis is no different regardless of his background. Lots of guys had the talent and lost fights at the dinner table.
