That list doesn't paint a particularly great future for the heavyweight division. Jalalov is the stand out talent as of now, but he does have a very amateurish style, he needs move than movement and a left counter to get to the top, or at least that's usually the case. Wouldn't shock me if 4 years from now some of the top old guys now are still hanging around and beating up the next gen if Jalalov doesn't reach his potential.
He signed with a shitty promoter when he turned pro, and followed that by signing to Probellum right before they folded. He’s done a lot of camps as a sparring partner and generally stays training per Instagram.
I agree. Gurgen is a really good prospect imo, better than all of these guys except Jalolov and possibly Anderson. I think he would KO Martin which would actually be a really solid win for someone's 5th pro fight.
Jalolov was a lot worse before 2019. He was getting beat by a fair amount of not exceptional fighters.
