What do you have a retired fighter in there? What the fuck has Chambers done to be ranked so high? Why are Chagaev and Dimitrenko ranked above Chisora and Fury? You must have been high when you made that list.
You dont get points for losing a fight to Adamek, because you came in out of shape I am being dead honest I cant remember the last heavyweight that is as overrated as Arreola. Maybe Guinn and Mesi. But damn, even they did more then Arreola has. And were also both just plain better. The guy has done completely nothing And this 'oh but an in shape arreola is a force to be reckoned with' is also absurd. Arreola isnt below world class because he was out of shape, he was below world class because hes just not that good relative to the elites of the division. And he fights NOBODY.... the two times he stepped up he lost, Vitali, fine... fair enough, cant hold that against him at least he made it entertaining. But theres no excuse for him losing to Adamek. Being overweight? Using that excuse is shameful. Guess he should have been in better shape. People act like he was at his career high for that fight or something too which is just wrong. He was a whopping 1lb over what he weighed against Vitali, and he actually weighed less for Adamek then he did when he scored some of his 'best wins' (which dont count for much anyways). So this 'oh he was overweight for adamek' stuff is just crap. Thats arreola. Plain and simple. And he still couldnt beat Adamek. Arreola will never be a top 5 heavyweight in terms of who he can actually beat in the division. As for resume, even now, guys like Chisora and Helenius, dudes that have half the fights Arreola does, are right there with him in terms of resume. All he does is fight nobodys and no hopers and then is waiting out for another shot. He tried to feast on an adamek who is so out of his depth at heavy that its akward even seeing him try to fight in the division, and he still couldnt get the W. Wlad Vitali Haye Chisora Chambers Boytsov Seth Povetkin all comfortably and confidently (obviously just imo) beat any Arreola that shows up. Chagaev Thompson Helenius Fury Adamek Solis Would all be good fights and could potentially beat him as well (Im putting Adamek in this group instead of the first because I could see Arreola beating him in a rematch, Adamek looks worse each time out these days) Arreola is overrated. Hes a solid, good, blue collar fighter and I take nothing away from that. But top 5 h2h in the division... politics aside? Never.
Haye is one of only 2 fighters with a win over SNV. Haye was also on quite a win streak before he lost to Wlad. Plus Haye's H2H rating is pretty high--people tend to favor him to beat any boxer outside K2. No doubt his resume is lacking but I struggle to name another heavyweight to rank ahead of him besides K2 and Povetkin.
This. It's not a spectacular resume but it beats out the likes of Thompson, Fury, Arreola, Adamek and so on. One more factor is even if Haye hasn't fought the tough heavies Helenius has fought, Haye's looked more dangerous when he's in there.
so you're basing what he did between 2007 and 2009 to qualify him lol that's what i thought. since 2010 all he has is harrison, ruiz, loss to Vova, so all he has is a win over a 40 year old Ruiz. Vova Vitali Povetkin Helenius Chisora Pulev (skelton, guinn, vidoz, rossy, walker, sprott, since 2010) Adamek Chagaev Thompson Arreola there is 10 guys above haye
Retired? Haye was desperately begging for a fight only a day ago. Beat Dimitrenko, Peter and Brock as well as quite a few solid lower level types. Chagaev is the ex WBA champ and has only lost to the best in the division. His easy wins over Valuev, Vyrchys and Ruiz as well as a string of solid lower level men makes him an easy top 20 choice. Why would Dimitrenko be below Fury? :yep Wins over Sosnowski, Sprott, Hoffmann, Rossy, Krasniqi, Bean, Purity is pretty good for a non top 10 fighter. His KO win over prime Sosnowski is clearly better than anything Fury has done in the ring, the same Fury that lost clearly to the awful McDermott.
Arreola? Arreola So, you rate losing to Adamek, then beating a bunch of complete, and I mean complete, no hopers and nobodies, as being better then beating Ruiz, beating Harrison, and then giving Wlad 12 rounds (something Thompson, Chambers, Chagaev, ect, ect, ect couldnt do)? Sorry.... its not. Chagaev? So in what world is Meehan Walker Manswell and losing to povetkin better then Ruiz Harrison losing to Wlad theres another one off the list. Sorry man, your simply being irrational and trying to hard if your placing guys like Arreola and Chagaev above Haye. Thats just borderline silly. But whatever Its just opinions..... just saying, youre trying too hard. Arreola and Chagaev dont come close to Haye, not even ****ing close Let alone Haye would completely thrash both of them at this point.
Losing to the #3 povetkin in a close fight is better than getting shut out vs Vova. I feel meehan had more left than ruiz and those are about a wash and walker and manswell **** on harrison so yeah chagaev is higher. Arreola and haye are about even. Quezada, aguilar, ahunaya are around par with his ruiz win and id rate Chris's loss vs Vitali higher than haye's vs vova and when you factor in chris's activity yeah id say he should be ranked above haye.
I had Chisora well outside the top 50 prior to the Helenius fight, he's ranked 15th now mainly on the back of his performance over Helenius. Helenius still has stunning KO wins over Peter, Liahkovich and Brewster under his belt, not to be sniffed at.
his wins over oloukun, tony, levin deserve to be taken into account to. those rate as good as some of arreola or thompsons best as of late
