:deal I think Golota is rated high enough, won't deserve to be No. 1 Contender until he at least signs his comeback fight!!!! :happy

    Golota for HW Champ 2009!

hes also only won two out of his last 6(otis punching bag tisdale and jameel mccline) also. Yet even though he racks up another loss his standing with them does not change....it amazes me... expect him to at least get one more WBA title shot before he hits 40....

I don't even take these rankings seriously anymore. I can't believe the people in charge of the ranks aren't embaressed with themselves.

The difference is that those guys all had skills that made them competitive at the world class level. All Ruiz does is hold excessively, and when that doesn't work, fake low blows. That he was ever ranked at all, or allowed to get away with his illegal and disgraceful tactics is the most glaring example of boxing corruption since the mob controlled the sport.

Ruiz is the poster boy for corruption in the HW division. A glorified clubfighter who never would have sniffed the rankings or "won" the WBA title without the influence of Don King.

IBF actually makes people fight for the #1 and #2 slots. If someone who was #1 or #2 gets a different belt or loses, then the spot becomes vacant. Because the eliminator was only for the #1 spot, the #2 spot was vacant. FWIW, Arreola got their #2 slot by beating Walker.

It's absolutely ******ed though that Golota is ranked top 10 by 3 organizations, but Austin, who just beat him, isn't ranked ahead of him by any of them.

there was also a big hoo hah when one intrnet site had bob sapp in the top5 fighters in the world...anyone who has a clue abotu proffesioanl fighting knows sapp isnt going anywhere...he is like a mixture of malignaggi, ruiz, golota, mayorga, rolled into one.

The whole WBA is one big joke.

Kali Meehan and Taras Bidenko at 1 & 2. What the f@ck? Dimitrenko at 4? Williamson at 7? Who the hell is Carl Davis Drumond at 9?

The latest BS is Holyfield at 12.

Hey, the whole Carl Davis Drumond stuff has been puzzling me for ages...it's like when Donell Holmes had a high WBC rating. Based on what?!

Arreola at #2 with the IBF is arguably bull**** as well. A classic case of someone with a crowd-pleasing style getting rated off that, rather actually than fighting any other top ten contenders whatsoever.

    As for Holyfield's WBA #12 rating...well, that doesn't deserve a response.

I am a die hard Golota fan but I admit that he doesn't deserve to be ranked right now. Everyone knows that the Alphabet ranking organizations only rate fighters really based on money and connections. Who cares? It doesn't matter that much.

BTW, Rahman still does deserve to be ranked.
