Did you have Iibeabuchi on your HW top 100, and if not would he make it now?

If you guys think a fighter should be ranked in both or one because of his height (Tyson 5-10-5"11) as in the case of Tyson Height small, Weight Med (215 & up) you can rate him in both if he qualifies but as far as Large I think the weight should be over 230-240lbs lbs unless the fighters height qualifies him as large as in the case of Ernie Terrell, it need not be both....Tyson was very short IMO 5'9 or 5"10

shame about Ike was that he had a short career, he had potential but we really don't know how it would have panned out. He seemed to be someone to watch but he cracked outside of the ring before he may have cracked inside...I often wonder how good guys like Tony Ayala and Luther McCarthy would have been but hard to guess....Ike looked great in his pressure KO over Byrd the Tua fight was close...would he be able to compete with the likes of Holyfield or Lennox is still a question mark and will always be

I think it is only fair to list a guy in just one category. When a fighter straddles divisions because of muscular weight like Tyson, a choice must be made. You could justify either one, I would tend to go with whether his height or LEAN weight tends more towards whih category.

Tyson was listed at 5' 11 1/2" & in his case I believe he was at least 5' 11". I met him face to face & this seemed clear. Remember he 1) Usually fought guys much taller than him. 2) Tended to fight out of a crouch 3) was heavily built without long arms.

These things all tend to make you look shorter than you really are. Where as if you are lean, fight upright, & guys averaging around your height, you may look taller than you actually are.

I did. He's in my top 50. While his carer is short, he was a beast of a man. Durable, strong, plenty of stamina, and fairly skilled.

Ike could track down and take out a slick boxer like Byrd ( Who was also durable ), or go toe to toe with the best slugger in Tua, who happened to be in shape for that match.

That left that produced that first knockdown in the 5th was just ridiculous. It's like watching a guy get hit by a truck.

I think if a fighter is short but only 5-10 lbs higher than 210 he could fall into the small category because that is only 5% body weight and may have a lot to do with the different training methods so Tyson could fall into the small category like McGrain put him or if you think his weight was more of a factor than his height put him in the Med section

That's an enormous reach. If your list was purely h2h or whatever, I think you could make a case, but for greatness, no, no way, not for me anyway.

I really dont see how you can rate him that high with only 2 fights that standout, the Byrd fight was impressive but a lot of people feel the Tua fight could have gone either way....for me I can speculate on Ike's potential but speculation does not get him to the highest point his potential may have taken him

He beat Byrd badly and I give him an A+ for that but basically fought on even terms with Tua....He showed a lot in those fights but IMO he was a woulda, coulda, shoulda

If you had to integrate the 3 lists what would your top 30 look like

Too difficult Bummy, bit of a mayor job that one. Big would do the worst though.

I am going to put my list together tomorrow. Historically the big heavyweights that were great are the smallest group.
