Say these four top heavyweight contenders/champs got together and agreed to fight each other: David Haye, Alexander Povetkin, Chris Arreola, Tomasz Adamek. Here are the potential fights:

    Adamek-Haye

    Povetkin-Haye

    Arreola-Haye

    Adamek-Povetkin

    Povetkin-Arreola

I didn't include Arreola-Adamek because that already went down. Here are my picks for outcomes

    Adamek-Haye:

    Adamek UD

Adamek has the higher ring IQ and lacks Haye's stamina issues.

    Povetkin-Haye

    Haye by UD

Povetkin can bang, and he has power, but Haye is too experienced. Unless Teddy Atlas has given him some kind of secret weapon, Haye schools him.

    Arreola-Haye

    Haye by UD

Arreola has proven he has trouble stalking an opponent. If you're right in front of him, he'll win the war of attrition usually. Haye won't be right in front of him. He'll be everywhere.

    Adamek-Povetkin:

    Adamek by UD

Adamek is too smart, too fast, and he's tough enough to absorb what Povetkin dishes out on the rare occasion when he tags him.

    Povetkin-Arreola:

    Arreola by TKO

Povetkin looked too damned vulnerable in his win over Eddie Chambers. Eddie missed so many opportunities that night, and still tagged Povetkin with some clean, brutal shots. Adamek won't move against Chris, and that spells disaster.

So, using the round robin scoring system of 3 points for a KO, 2 for a UD, and 1 for a Draw, here would be the scorecard thus far:

    Adamek: 4
    Haye: 4
    Arreola:2
    Povetkin: 0

Looks like Adamek would win. Many people would have problems with me picking Arreola over Povetkin, I imagine. What are your thoughts?

Interesting. I don't see Haye winning a decision over Povetkin or Adamek.....neither fight would go the distance. Those are toss-ups in my book. Adamek's chin was pretty great against Arreola but Haye is a bit slicker...there's always the chance that Adamek could experience his first knock-out.

With Arreola on the other hand Haye would need to be more cautious and go for the UD, though a knockout for either man is very possible.

I think you're under-rating Povetkin, he's an at least above average fighter in all regards, exceptional in a few regards with no glaring weaknesses, even his defense is not as bad as some make it out to be.

If Arreola couldn't put Adamek down he won't do it to Povetkin.
Povetkin didn't look bad at all against Chambers. He weathered a tough storm and stay in that fight.
Fights against Chambers and Estrada were risky fights for a guy like Povetkin.
Slick boxers who are hard to hit clean and who can let their fists go.

Povetkin would have no trouble finding Arreola.
While some of his punches didn't seem to have as much impact against either Estrada or Chambers (which is more of a product of those two being more of the elusive heavyweights) that wouldn't be the case with Arreola. Povetkin would be able to land on him cleanly.... and do it alot.

Povetkin is a nightmare for Haye. Adamek is easy for Haye. Arreola will be domianted by all of them. Povetkin beats them all.

Also, don't forget that Povetkin fared much better against Estrada then Adamek.

Estrada was training only 4 weeks for povetkin to 8 weeks for adamek fight, and he was in the best shape of his life against adamek.

povetkin is underrated here, i think talentwise he is better then the klitschkos, but he lacks power and tallness^^ if he would be 6.4 ยด, he would habe a very good shot against wladimir and vitali. and i'm a big fan of the klitschkos. povetkin is the whole package. his promoter is ****, and his trainer too. povetkin needs roach.
adamek - povetkin => close ud pobetkin
adamek - haye => haye ko
arreola - povetkin => povetkin ko
haye - povetkin => povetkin ko
haye - arreola => haye ko

povetkin is the best contender wladimir will ever fight
